Your question doesn't make any 'sense' to me ... Christianity was a 'religion' that came from Judaism, and it is 'directly tied' to that 'older religion' in far too many ways to have it 'not tied to the Torah.' As for excluding Hell and Satan then that is just as 'ridiculous' because there IS 'evil' in the world, and if there 'wasn't a Hell and Satan' then EVERYONE could 'go to Heaven' without the NEED for Jesus Christ to have 'died on the cross for ALL of our 'sins' ... and I am 'quite happy' with Christianity the way it 'really is' even though I 'disagree' with many 'Christians' on 'what is really important' in it ... and I have enough 'good sense' to believe that it doesn't really matter whether you are a 'good Christian' or not ... that even a 'good atheist' will go to 'Heaven' after death, while an 'evil Christian' will go to 'Hell' or at least spend much time in 'Purgatory' for the 'sins' s/he has committed. I am a 'good, honest, loving person' and I don't 'exclude anyone' in my daily prayers ... no matter what their 'personal religion' is ... and I'll pray for you, too, and ask God to 'help you understand' why it is 'very important' for Christianity to be 'as it is' and not 'cleaned up and changed' to make it more 'easily understood and followed' ...

No, I don't think Christianity would have been any better. Christian ideas are based on ideas from the Torah and Jewish ideas. Even though Jesus came to make a new covenant with God's people, it is still important to know the history and through the Old Testament (or the Torah) we can see God for who God is.
Hell and Satan is necessary. It isn't an easy concept to grasp or to explain (though it seems like it is). God gave humans free will. We chose to take that and eat from the tree of Knowlege of Good and Evil. We sinned. God can't relate to sin. We, humans, still have free will and if we choose to live a life away from God, then we should be able to carry that out for the rest of eternity. Hell is just the absence of God. Even though we may push God away here on earth, God is still here and longing for a relationship with us. We choose to ignore that and live a life without God, then we can live Eternity without God.
The way people persent Jesus and the Bible to others should be changed though. People shouldn't be scared into a relationship with Christ. Nor should they be condemmed or judged by humans, since by nature all humans are sinful. All sin is the same and God doesn't look at any one's sin or any type of sin differently.
sorry, that was a bit of a tangent!

It is the continuation of Torah, but most of the Jews could not accept Messiah, Jesus Christ. Because there expectation was a king like person. But Jesus Christ came to earth as an ordinary man. But everything was as per the prophesies given by the God. And because the Jews rejected him the grace of salvation was given to the gentiles. Thank God for the grace you shown the gentiles, because now the born again Christians are in an higher level than the Jews who are the special people of God. God is righteous always.

Christianity is founded on God's promises. The promises are documented in the Old Testament. There fulfillment are documented in the New Testament. People are not good honest or loving. That is why we need the Salvation offered to us through the blood of Christ. Unlike Adam, Christ trusted God's promises with out reservation. Hell is misinterpreted it mean the Grave. Ashes to Ashes.

What? How could it exclude Evil and even remotely be called a religion? What does its origins in Judaism have to do with it not being good? and why do you think it needs to be better?

If you took away the rapture, the bit about the only son of god and only getting to god through that son. You would also have to remove the idea that god asks people to write books......Oh wait, I'm not even close to done and already it's a whole different religion.

No.
There are so many approaches to the answer I can give. Typers and Shadows of things to come, man's inability to do God's work without Him, the examples of faith, the examples of disfaith, the way God reacts to certain things, God's severity of Judgement-- making it plain how important the whole sin issue is to Him, what our sin nature does to us, how we can view God; on and on.
I can tell that you don't understand all that. But it doesn't mean that you will never!
Good luck with that.

actually the Torah (first five books of Moses) never mentions hell or heaven once.
I would suggest you also do some research on what hell and heaven are in Jewish theology, it is nothing like the Christian version.

The religion you speak of is Buddhism. True Christianity is more like Buddhism than most people are willing to admit.

It wasn't tied to the Torah so much. It was tied to the Old Testament, and yes, it would have been significantly better. Oh well, another missed opportunity...
