Wouldn't anybody with even a first grade education understand that was a joke?

I feel a lot of love today though, so I forgive her. Please pray with me......

Father, please forgive this poor soul
She is lost and doesn't have the sense to know
what is wrong and what is right
Although she has used slurs and libel towards my persona
I forgive her, and place her soul in your hands
May you give her the ability and wisdom
to do the right thing for once in her life
All in your glory

Amen

Amen

If Heaven is outside time, then it can't change and therefore anyone who ever "goes" to Heaven must have always been there, even before they were born. If they were not always there, Heaven must change over time. If people are always there, it means that people have no option whether they are saved or not. They are either already saved or already damned.

If Heaven is not outside time but god is, then how can it be said that you are WITH God any more than you are now?

It does seem that the muslims are trying to make a name for themselves, but even the Jews are disappearing into the background.

Then how is it any different from science?

Science and religion follow the same path. They both strive to achieve understanding, they both work to rationalise omnipotent forces on a way that is easy for humans to digest. They both are based on rational argument.

We make buildings dedicated to the pursuit of god. Or the pursuit of science. But only the former is called a temple.

They have both developed over time as we have seen fit. We have exploited both for the sake of war and love. We have used these concepts as tools, from psychiatry to manipulation. We have picked up gods, and we have thrown them away.

Science is flexible, and throws away bogus ideas. Same as religion. Science gets forgotten, misinterpretated, feared of and attacked. Same as religion.

Relgion on its own says we ultimately don't have a choice. But we do!

Science on its own says we are robots, machines, unable to really choose. But we're not!

being a good pagan, i encourage my kids to learn about other religions. when my son was little he attended different youths groups of different faiths. my kids have always been taught to respect the traditions set out at these. one christian group he went to at age 6-8 sent him home with some pamplets. these were talking about how he is a sinner and jesus died for him. i couldn't believe how this brainwashing could be going on in this religion! i comforted my son by telling him he has never ever sinned and nobody died for him! that is a terrible burden to put on a child's shoulders. this is how the church gains so much control over people, by using guilt! i still encourage my kids (ages 9, 12, 15) to learn about other faiths, but i warn them about the techniques used to gain followers. comments?

It's like both religion are from the same side. History, people, both have too much similarities.

Back when they invented Hell it was a time of feudalism, serfdom, monarchies, oppression, conquest, empires and all that horrid stuff.

Why does Hell continue to exist? Why haven't they written it out yet?

Or are they trying to morph it from a place of eternal suffering, wailing and gnashing of teeth into just eternal seperation from God?
