let's see - i don't pray EVERYDAY, i surely don't read the word of god, nor do i confess my sins (god is already well aware of them) and i don't feel any need to ask for forgiveness when i lead a perfectly healthy and "good" life...
in addition, i do not go to church unless it's easter or i have a wedding to attend...
i feel perfectly fine and my connection with god has nothing to do with any of these things....AT ALL. it's a waste of time.

Yes it matters that you go to church. If you pray, read the word, and confess your sins I dont understand why you wouldnt WANT to go to church....
You might as well cut Hebrews 10:25 out of your bible.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Pray to God about it. He always answers

it does matter, how is one going to learn to love their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ if they hide in the room all day watching online sermons? in the book of acts, Christians do gather to have communion, pray and listen to the Word. Its not some modern concept. In addition, the bible says that when two or three are gathered in His Name, Jesus is in their midst. You can't do that alone (although you can be totally corny by saying that you can do it with me, myself and I).
also do you pray everyday, read the word of God, confess your sins, & ask for forgiveness everyday just so that you can get to heaven or because its your desire to know God? Because if its your desire to know God, you will go.

Not really. But I love going to Mass and being within the community of believers. I know church is not for everyone. I used to feel that way too and was on my own path and did not follow a religion for many many years. God has led me to His Church, the Catholic Church and I feel so at home now. God bless

Yes, for the Scripture clearly states, "Forsake ye not the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some men is." It means, Don't completely cut off going to church, for though the establishment of God inside your spirit adds you to the Church, the buildings we go to for worship are intended to give us as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven a place to lean upon one another's wisdom in the Word and draw strength from the kinship of our fellow Christians.

It is good to go to church to fellowship with believers. The Bible says "do not forsake the fellowship with the brethren" and "How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity". Brethren meaning all mankind. And it also says that "faith cometh by hearing the Word of God and how can one hear unless it is preached". So we do need to be under Pastorialship where you have the same beliefs and are comfortable. The Bible also says to "edify one another with loving kindness, admonishing others higher than yourself".

1. Just because we pray doesn't mean that we are doing it right.
Romans 8:26 " Likewise the Spirit (Holy Spirit) also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself (Himself) maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God".
2. Study is good in preparation for God to use us, but we need to be taught the Word of God. Cults, false belief systems, erroneous doctrines, doctrines of devils have all come about because everybody that thought they knew the Word of God without being taught or rejected truth, employed these wrong views. The Word of God basically explains itself, but it must be understood in spiritual context. Pastors and teachers usually have a long jump on us when it comes to study and experience.
1 Corinthians 2:10-16 " But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save (except) the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God
Now we have recieved, not the sprit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man recieveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spritually discerned.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instuct him? But we have the mind of Christ".
3. Confession, believing and knowing God has forgiven us is paramount.
4. Hebrews 10:24-25 " And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching (Christ's return).
We are products of our environment. What we are around the most we, generally, we begin to emmulate.
Hope this helps.

Most Judeo-Christian churches require church attendance in accordance with Thou shall keep holy the Sabbath. Does God really require this? We will never know on earth.

Depends on what you are looking for. All of the above are good but none of them will gain a person admittance into heaven. Jesus calls for us to follow Him, to place our trust in eternal salvation in Him, and to trust Him through His Holy Spirit to transform our lives on earth to make us more like Him.
Praying, reading the bible, confession, going to church, etc. all aid us in our relationship and walk with Jesus. They help us to know Him and His will better. They are all necessary for that purpose, but not for the purpose of gaining God's favor as it relates to our eternal destiny.
hope that helps some...

Though believers are the true church, it is important for those who have trusted Jesus to assemble together. We do this to encourage one another, and for the purpose of receiving teaching and worship. Assembling ourselves together is also something that is commanded by God.
