Exodus 29:20
Read it for yourself if you don't believe me.

You say God never changes, but does he really still do wacky stuff like that? If so, where?

Either he changes or he doesn't. C'mon church people, help me out on this.

And why was he even doing that wacky stuff then? What was the big idea?

I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom
of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.

Islamic law regulates all aspects of life both public and private and defines a strict norm which all are required to follow. This code was established before the 19th century and accepts slavery, the subordinate position of women and the restriction of other beliefs as being socially required. It also condemns homosexuality and any form of real freedom of speech. Since these laws are immutable they fix society in a pre 19th century mode. Is this a restriction on human rights or a definition of what rights a human should have and how they should be applied universally?

Just becoz Jesus told us not to? Since when has Christianity had anything to do with him? Sure, he died for us, but if we quit sinning, he'll have died for nothing an what he taught is really just a small part of the Bible, so if we just go by that then the whole rest of the book goes to waste--which part of this are you not getting?

My mother has been a Jehovah's Witnesses for over 40 years, and is very active at the Kingdom Hall. When I casually mentioned that a lot of witnesses post on Yahoo answers, message boards, and groups correcting people or explaining about their beliefs, she told me those people are probably disfellowshipped, not baptized, or pretending to be witnesses, because Elders and Ministereial Servants advise members regularly not to participate in these worldly activities.

In fact, the watcher website, does not eturn emails they receive from people here on the internet. They request phone numbers or other offline contact information if someone wishes to ask questions. So why are there so many Jehovah Witnesses here on yahoo answers, when their organzation states that regular participation on forums like this is being part of the world?

How much satisfaction do you get from causing the religious to go against their beliefs? Either through temptation, taunting, or just speaking logical facts?

I have to admit, I do get a little satisfaction out of it.
