I ask because the College baseball team members were from a very devout Christian college and had just prayed for a safe trip under an hour prior to leaving, shouldn't God have provide a guiding light for their safe trip?

So why have most Protestants never read it, and why do they indulge a "pastor/priest/whatever" for EVEN ONE SECOND?

If life starts when we are conceived, it means that before we weren't anything. Then we live, create a personality and accumulate memories in our brains. If our brain fails we can loose the memory. Then we die.
Without brain certainly we have no memories, we loose our personality and we forget who we love.
If after life exists... then we will be there... not remembering anybody, or anything we made during our lives.
Please let me know what do you think

The Bible clearly states that human slavery is acceptible and slaves may be beaten as long as they are not killed, it also says that women should submit to their husbands like they submit to the Lord, but I don't know any Christian out there that believes that slavery is okay. So if we don't follow those parts of the Bible bcause of our society, then why do we foloow other parts, and how do we know which parts to follow?

Why is it that most of the Christians I know are nice people who are usually fairly smart and honest. Yet I am constantly told that they are liars, immoral, incapable of thinking for themselves. Am I being biased towards them because most of my friends are Christian, or is it just a lot of hateful, immoral, and ignorant remarks are being made against them on the Internet?

When I respond kindly to Christians I often get thumbs down. Am I a no good Christian Lover?

Mav is Christian. Mav gets very sad when people answer questions as if they speak for all Christians.
For example: Mayor Seans question of favorite characters.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgGKckia6LI5re2ViGpFekzsy6IX?qid=20070302082251AAvUrao
Mav enjoys each and every one of those movies as well as favorite Christian characters, and Greek mythological characters.

Mav wonders if it upsets you when someone you don't even know claims to speak for you?

Isn't that contradictory. If Jesus was God, then how could he die? I'm not trying to start a conflict by this. I read another persons question and this came to mind so please be respectful to me when answering. I believe in Jesus, but I believe that he was a Prophet of God and I do not believe in the crucifixtion.

Personally, I am a theist, and I'm tired of all the religious debate between theists and atheists. Many times, the atheists are guilty of the same close-mindedness that they accuse the theists of. As I have said, I believe in God, however, I realize that just because I believe something, it doesn't meant it's true. Even with conviction in a belief, people should realize that they may be wrong. I can respect theists and atheists; however, I cringe every time a person from either side of the debate lets their conviction get in the way of reason. Atheism is often embraced with the conviction of even the most fanatical theist. The bottom line is that nobody knows the answers, but we have to make our own decisions for our beliefs. So, for theists and atheists, I understand you have faith, but would you concede in the possibility of being wrong? If not, are you guilty of the same flaw that you accuse the other party of? If you said no to that, are you capable of reflection?
