I have my beliefs on pitbulls. I don't believe there vicious bloodthirsty monsters. I've owned pits and theyv'e been better than most dogs i've ever owned.

We have one too, not by choice, found her as a very sick puppy. She is wonderful and we protect her from situations where she may use her incredible strength wrongly. I think Pit Bulls will become mindless and focus only on a stimulus sometimes, it is not their intention to hurt (at first), I know ours would kill a squirrel or a cat should she catch one even tho her intention may just be to play.

Pit Bulls:Very Territoral.There are drug Dealers that keep this animal.He would be my choice if I lived in Canadan Forest.
I live in town of mid size,walk daily for Med. Reasons.I was walking my small dog on a leash ,this white pit Bull showed up so fast and had my dog by the Ear.I carry # 3 golf Club,I tried to give Him a Part in hair,being 65 I didn"t Kill Him He left as fast as He could,hasn"t bothered Me since . There has been several attacks on childern,My opinion,Person should be required to put up Bond of min,100,000 Dollars.Walked with strong leash and muzzle.

It is ok to have beliefs if they are based on overall facts instead of personal ones. Obviously, most pitbulls are wonderful sweet pets. But they DO turn sometimes and kill or badly injure someone. The facts are there and they can't be denied.
It's like saying since you have never been in a car accident there is no danger of getting in one. The facts prove that people DO die in car accidents, and the danger is real. So we have seat belt laws. So we need pitbull cares.

I own 3 pit bulls. Best dogs in the world. Loyal, and obedient. They know that I'm top dog in the house, though. Just have to properly socialize them when they're young. I've never had one bad "incident" with mine that would attract negative media attention.

I don't know for sure. They certainly have a bad reputation, and not without reason. I have friends who have them, and they are strong willed and aggressive with other dogs. I personally never had any trouble with them, but every year you hear how they have maimed or killed a young child, so for that reason alone parents should use caution. There are many good natured and friendly dog breeds to choose from out there.

I believe that any dog will be mean if you treat it disrespectfully. I have owned mastiffs and other big breeds and they can be just as dangerous if ill treated. It's the same with human beings.
