Why is it that most of the Christians I know are nice people who are usually fairly smart and honest. Yet I am constantly told that they are liars, immoral, incapable of thinking for themselves. Am I being biased towards them because most of my friends are Christian, or is it just a lot of hateful, immoral, and ignorant remarks are being made against them on the Internet?

When I respond kindly to Christians I often get thumbs down. Am I a no good Christian Lover?

What better way to show the love of Jesus Christ than to use him for a role model and do what he did? We are taught as Christians to show the love of Christ.

Our walk will speak volumes over anything we could ever say.

People who stereotype Christians (or anyone else for that matter) are usually repeating what they have heard...not what they have seen or experienced personally.

In my experience, most people are nice people regardless of faith or religion. I met Christians, Muslims, Buddhist, Hindus and other sects, and all of them are nice and good.

I think those who aren't nice are those who have lesser formal or informal education in school or at home. When the family is not good what ever is the religion being practiced, the person is not really good.

I remember before some street children bullying passers by and acted nastily to the tourists in Australia. This is true everywhere, where there are ill mannered people.

Many people in the slums though, are nice and good people. I think it is more of a breeding or lack of it.

Christians like those believers of other faith are god fearing and follow the golden rule (" Do not do unto others what you do not want others do unto you") whether consciously or unconsciously. Other believers normally do the same thing.

I think its the same in all religions and cultures where you will get stereotypes where some people will some religions down becuae they don't like them because they are different from them and they don't share their opinions.
Some christians are bad but the majority of us are good kind loving people and we are also good law abiding people.
I personally don't think christians are immoral nor do I think any other religion is immoral each to his own is what I say.
I'm a Christian and I think I'm a good person.

Im Catholic so im Christian.

I find most Christians nice too because love for God and neighbor is the moral background. Love is a powerful tool. However:
You shouldnt base people on stereotypes. In the same way not all guys in glasses are nerds. They could be sports jocks too.
In the same way not all Christians are nice but many are not evil.
Go to any Catholic forum and many people there are really kind and happy.

You said "Yet I am constantly told that they are liars, immoral, incapable of thinking for themselves." Those are lies from all Christian haters. I am a Christian and the reason why we are so nice is becuase we have the love of God inside of us.

Well, my son, about 90 to 95 percent of the US is Christian so, is most of our country good people or bad people?

By the way the invisible Christian haters on here are not that way in real life, either. And yes, we do think for ourselves. But they speak that way about us because that makes them seem as though they are superior to us. Just watch the questions they ask and how they ask them. Such small minded people they are.

Though none of us are perfect, Christ said the greatest commandment was concerning love.
Matthew 22:35-40
Mark 12:28-31

Those in the family of Christ recognize His boundless mercy and grace and are blessed in the fellowship of the like-minded. Those who reject Him chastise us due to the lack of discernment. We are to expect this. Romans 5:3 says we glory in the tribulation for it teaches patience. Hopefully, someday, these who ridicule will come to Christ. That's what He's waiting for.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Peter 3:9

Most of the Christians I know are nice people too. Even though I do not share their faith, I can get along with them just fine. However, when they find out about my non-religious lifestyle and try to engage me in a debate of the topic, its war.

All of the Christians I know are honest and decent people. The American brand of aggressive evangelical Christianity is totally alien to me and seems unnatural and perverse which is why I am hostile to evangelical Christians on here but to be fair most of the Christians I know would label them cranks as well.

This is the thing-
There are so many of us.
There are some awfully rude Christians, but if you can have enough patience and strength to ignore them, you can see the kind, thoughtful Christians.
