It only takes a few... did you know my question about this yesterday got deleted? (Not a question or answer...lol) So, I assume there is at least one person like that hanging out in R&S on occasion.

But... I believe *most* are not like that.

Given the number of people in America that are christian I would say most are not like those as seen on Jesus Camp. I imagine most are very middle of the road people.

As the saying goes:

It only takes a couple of rotten apples to spoil the "whole" bushel.
Most of the people I know are no where like the camp "ideology."
A "camp" is considered an extremist position in todays society.
I steer clear of them personally.
They do not help the "cause" if you will.

Walk down the street. Look around you. Most of the people around are at least nominal Christians. If you see enough people, you will surely see some that are Christians. Are any of the ones you see, even remotely like them? C'mon. You gotta have some sense at least.

Those people scare me, they have no idea what they're talking about. Teaching kids that speaking in tongue is babbling incoherently is simply ignorant. Speaking in tongue is speaking another languange, not made up gibberish. God doesn't give stupid gifts, and speaking gibberish is simply stupid. Ignorant people should not be allowed to teach children anything.

I'm a lifelong christian, and these people scare me to death. The spreading of ignorance is always frightening, which is how christianity gets used to teach prejudism and hate. All you need is one ignorant "christian" that teaches others ignorance and hate and we all get labelled with that nonsense.

The forensic evidence is, those people on Jesus Camp are like those people on Jesus Camp.

As amazing as it may seem, there are still decent blue-collar American Christians around. They don't really time to ponder life's big questions, what with kids, mortgages, and people accusing of them of being savages.

No. I think that it's good that you question stereotypes. Obviously, you are going to find dimwits in every type of group.

I'm not so sure about them.
The ARE christians after all, that means that they are easily persuaded, gullible in the extreme, and ill-educated enough to believe what they're told by con men calling themselves "reverend".
So, yes, I believe that they are all like that deep inside.
