Why stay alive, when heaven is waiting for me. Heaven is really waiting for me.

I want to go to heaven right now, I can' t stand to be alive another second.

I want to die right now, so I can go on to heaven. But how?

The term "free will" implies that those who exercise it have a sound mind, and that people have (generally) the same definiton of right and wrong. Someone who is born mentally retarded doesn't have the same mindset as everyone else, and isn't able to distinguish right from wrong as we are. How does this fall in line with "free will"?

For that matter, what about the criminally insane?

is the best & Koran writes it is the best book ever written. So which one is the best?

I believe the Holy Bible is the best book ever written.

Of course the Mormon and the Koran books are best to their followers, and they think the Holy Bible is rewritten too many times & has errors. Because the bible is contrary to their books in important areas.

Syliva Browne state we should never allow a Ouija board into our homes as it is like opening the door and inviting anyone in. Does that not sound logical?
We can recieve good spirts and ghosts but we can also recieve messages from bad ghosts or bad sprits. How do we know who we are talking to or allowing into our home and can they stay around and raise chaos?

I think she is right, how do you feel about it? Any experiences?

Good book for Pre-schoolers with "joy" as the theme?
I'm a Sunday school teacher - and each week we teach the kids about a virtue. This week it will be "joy." Does anybody know of a good book for pre-schoolers that has "joy" as the theme?

If God as a being transcends time, then the linear (past - to - present - to - future) nature of time is irrelevant to him.

Therefore, wouldn't it follow that for him the beginning of time and the end of time (and everything in between) are equivalent?

And wouldn't such an existence mean that there is no such thing as free will, since God as an observer sits outside of time and knows it fully from start to finish?

That is, they call God "good" when He commits mass genocide, floods the world and drowns everything, supports slavery, and so on! No human being who did such things would be called good, so when they use the term "good" about their God, aren't they mis-using and abusing the term? If "good" means anything, it must mean the same for all, whether we use it of a human being or of God! The characteristics they call "good" in God would be called "evil" if found in a human, so they should stop calling their God "good" if they don't mean that He is good in the normal, common-sense use of the word...

Being here is unproductive to Christian discussion. So much for freedom of religion. The atheist religion can have the space for discussing further vital contributions they will make.

Please read this verse too before you answer:

John 17:11, 21-22 "And now I am no more in the world, but these [meaning his disciples] are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are...That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one."

are going to do in your life, is your choice to believe in God not already chosen so you really don't have any say in whether you are a Christian or not. Please don't take this question the wrong way - I am a Christian, this is just something that confuses me. I'm sure the answer is really obvious or i've got something wrong maybe. Only serious answers please.

Seriously. In the absolute sense, it is doubtful if there is such a person as an atheist, for even though one denies the traditionally taught concept of Deity, yet he probably worships at some other shrine as, for instance, the shrine of false intellectuality.
