Why are there many baptisms in Christianity, for example: sprinkling, pouring, immersion, dipping, and some baptize without using water at all. Help, I'm confused!

Today said: "Ultimately Baptism is just a sign of faith. Its the faith that saves you. ie Abraham never baptised." First off, we don't have the full account of the old testament prophets and their doings. Secondly, even if Abraham didn't do it Christ revealed a new testament and said "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God," obviously referring to baptism by immersion. Jesus Christ Himself was baptized to 'fulfill all righteousness' him providing the example for all of his followers. In the Book of Acts the Apostles saw it as a necessary ordinance in order to be saved hence, Acts 2: 38 "Repent, and be baptized every one of you."
Do not be like the Pharisees who "rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized..." (Luke 7:30). For, baptism doth also now save us. (1 Pet. 3: 21)
One more "And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord..." (Acts 10:48.)
