Being here is unproductive to Christian discussion. So much for freedom of religion. The atheist religion can have the space for discussing further vital contributions they will make.

Well I must say that it isn't only the Atheists that bash Christianity so, let's give credit where credit is due.

However, I will say that those who love to bash Christians are the ones who get upset when we answer back, they want us to sit back, shut up and take their guff -- it's the double-standard thing ya know.

Be like the water on a duck's back, let it roll off.

You're free to post whatever you want. Enter a pro-Christian question and you'll find that many Christians will answer so how do you know there aren't some who find this informative? Even if there are atheists on here. There are also a ton of agnostics, I've seen a few Gnostics and Muslims. Oh! Jews, too. And Catholics (who consider themselves Christian but some don't-?) The point is, there is plenty of 'discussion' to be found.
Oh, yeah. Atheism is not a religion.

I sense you're feeling the suffering of shared karma along with other Christians who use derogatory and unkind terms to refer to all atheists in the same manner that some atheists refer to Christians... very illustrative of what the Buddha said about anger, hate, ignorance, etc. begetting more of the same.

It might be of help for you to contemplate the fact that people are people first and subject to the causes and conditions that make us all different, while some use religion and such as an excuse to bash others which generates anger and suffering and then those who haven't calmed their minds on either side of the argument perpetuate the suffering by constantly lashing out at each other. Only cultivating a calm mind yourself will free you from the entanglements you perceive here.

you said " Being here is unproductive to Christian discussion "

I say - This is a Question site not a discussion site
This is the Religion and Spirituality section not the Christian section

You said " am I stuck in the Christian bashing chat room? "

I say - this is not a chat room.

There is also such a thing as freedom of speech. I have been in Atheist forums before and the xtians come there too. I never answer questions directed toward xtians unless it is a question about bible content that I know the answer to and I always include the fact that even though I know the answer I do not believe it to be true. I try not to be rude but I will definitly tell anyone who ask what I think. If you can't take the heat , get out.

*sigh*

First of all, atheism is NOT a religion. It is the LACK of religion, hence the a- prefix.

Secondly, the Constitution already guarantees you freedom of worship. But it also guarantees the rest of us freedom FROM worship.

Third, if all you want to hear is your words reflected back to you, go to church. The free flow of ideas and discussion -- and disagreement -- is what keeps our democracy lively. Preaching to the choir would get awfully boring, wouldn't it?

Finally: It's fun to tweak the noses of the self-righteous. If you're going to hang around here, you'll need a thicker skin.

The freedom of religion includes the freedom to bash. Quit being a baby.

Oh, please. No-one here is violating your freedom of religion.

Atheism is not a religion.
The Christians bash others at least as much as anyone else does.

You're whining about being treated like everyone else, obviously because you're used to being treated as though your beliefs make you special. We don't go for that "self esteem movement" nonsense here: if you've devoted your life to false beliefs, you'd better be prepared to hear others' disagreement. If you're not, you can just take your trolling elsewhere.

You must mean that you only want opinions to be shared if they coincide with yours. But freedom of religion also means freedom from it if we so choose. So we have just as much right to discuss our lack of belief as you have to discuss your beliefs. Good day!

Keep out of the kitchen if you're not up to being a Christian soldier. Honestly the calibre of Christians is diminishing- I'm used to debating believers that defend their beliefs tooth and nail and I respect them for it but all you get on here is a shower of whingeing pansies.
