No. There should be a full separation of Church and state. That means government stay out of religion, and religion stay out of government and public schools.

I think that the story shown is ridiculous. If someone wants to drink on Sundays, then they should be able to. What gives someone else the right to dictate what they can do based on THEIR religious beliefs? If THEY don't want to drink, then they don't have to. They shouldn't have the right to tell others not to. This type of thing is precisely why religion needs to be kept OUT of government. They're making LAWS based on people's religious beliefs.

Of course not. The government is too corrupt and shouldn't have any say about religion. Thank you and may GOD come soon to correct the wrong that has been done to this world.

Sorry...do not click on links...especially someone's freaked out homepage.

Lets think about your remark.

Should government legislate religion?

Do they not legislate religion already?

Who do you suppose in the long run would be favored by such a thing...the majority of people in this country are...yes, you guessed it... CHRISTIANS, while atheists make up a minimal percentage.

Unlike what you like to believe the UCLA will represent ANY attempt to legislate religion, not just atheists attempts. Go look at some of their cases if you think I lie. Religion is NOT their cause...the constitution is.

So...sure...go ahead...lets throw out all our rights...no freedom of the press, no freedom of speech at all, no freedom of religion...we will just assign you to a certain belief and if you do not follow it...we will tap your phone, your bank records, plant bugs in your house and what ever else we need to do to control you.

If you are deemed a terrorist...we can arrest you and hold you in jail without charge and without representation. Let's get rid of the right to bear arms...I hate that one anyway (will allow hunters to have hunting weapons only...no assault weapons...nothing...in fact...even things out and lets go with all bow and arrow only hunting).

I am sure I can think of a few more rights to get rid of...just give me some time.

My nephew is a soldier in Iraq...I hope he never sees Yahoo Answers or questions like this. He will be promoted to sargeant tomorrow. We are very proud of him. Please do not take away the things HE believes he is fighting for.

NO!!! Why was America founded because the government would not let them practice their religion. Free country even though sometimes the government forgets that.

The Bush adminstration has stepped into this slippery slope funding "faith based" programs. The government has no business in doing this.

No, religion is messed up enough already. It might be a good idea to regulate and tax it though.
