How do you feel about people who commit fornication and later come to Christ? Does God forgive their sins and give them a clean slate, or do you believe that sex equals marriage and they should be bound to the person they had sex with for life?

I'm particularly interested in the opinion that "sex = marriage, so if the person then marries someone else that would be adultery". Why would someone believe that?

It's for a story I'm writing. I need viewpoints. Thanks. :)

Here's what I say, " O Heavenly Father, I give You all honor and praise. For You are worthy. Forgive me my sin as I forgive others their sins against me. Save me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Give me victory over my short-comings, enemies, and the devil. Bless my enemies, friends, and family alike. Bless me to fufill the pre-ordained purpose, You gave me. Give me strength to accompish Your will. Bless me with Your wisdom. Heal my body and spirit. I thank You for hearing and answering, O Heavenly Father. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

What do you say?

After all the bible says we were made in His own image.

Maybe God is an "It" rather than any certain gender like male, female, or gay?

...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!

Church is not about judging people; it’s about worshipping God and learning to love one another. We all sin, so no one is "better" than anyone else. But by God's amazing love, proven in Jesus' death and resurrection for our sake, anyone can be forgiven, cleansed, and healed.

A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to regular Saturday or Sunday worship and children's programs, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs, coffee-and-chat groups, and other activities throughout the week.

Think church isn't for you? Remember, to gain the real treasures--peace, joy, freedom, happiness, fulfillment, and eternal life--we must go where they can be found, and seek them diligently and persistently.

So, my QUESTION is:
Won't you join us in worship this week, and learn the truth for yourself?

I know many Christians who look down on others for not being Christian with a holier than thou art attitude.

Many Christians (whether they know it or not) love the fact that they can be forgiven from their sins and take this as a license to go crazy, then repent.

Has his whole message of live a good life, and love everyone the same, been forgotten?

Your Thoughts.....................?

I've seen many people ask the question: Why do people believe in God?

I'd like to hear both sides of the story. So for those of you who have no faith or don't believe, what are your reasons for doubting?

Christians are identified with hell-fire & hate-speech.

Muslims are identified with terrorists & burkas.

Wiccans are identified as Satan worshipers and practitioners of black magic.

Atheists are identified as immoral or communist.

What can we do to cease seeing one another as the worst examples?

What can we do to present more beneficial and accepting selves to the pluralistic world?

Are you open to God speaking to man as he did in the Bible? If God again called a prophet such as Moses, Isaiah, Peter, or John, would you listen to him? If he again revealed scripture as he did to Moses or Paul, would you you believe it?

I'm not an atheist, and im not trying to encourage anyone, or offend anyone, but I was just thinking. (Atheists) All, or at least part of your lives, you dont have religious "rules" to follow because none are set for you. So basically, you do not have to worry about sin too much. ie You can be openly gay because, according to you, there is no afterlife so you should live the way you want. However, for us non-atheists, we have to worry about doing good deeds and doing less sin, etc. (which I try to do). Aren't your lives pretty laid back and fun without such limitations?

Do you think it's kind of arrogant for some people to claim to know exactly what happens to people after their Earthly lives end? Because I sort of do---and I don't care if it's a fundie saying that they definitely know it's either Heaven or scorching Hellfire, a die-hard atheist saying that you definitely just rot away and cease to exist forever, someone else saying that it's definitely reincarnation, or whatever else there is.

How can anyone claim to have this sort of knowledge...and have it with the precision and accuracy that some say they do?

Well some one brought it up to me one day that is Adam and Eve were the first people, okay yea, and they had 2 sons, cain and able,okay.., well how is it then that Cain got a wife from another town?

Only way I can explain this is that no where in the bible does it say god stopped creating people after Adam and Eve, just that they were the first people, what if after they got kicked out of the garden god made more people, and well thats the only way i make since of it.

So therefor not everyone is actually related , I used to think we all were before because if they are the first people then down the line we come from them, well relatives of theirs atleast.

What do you think?

I know I can testify. I was in a shocking car accident today. It was a front-end collision. The impact was so forceful that my driver and passenger airbags were ejected. Immediately after impact, I was almost for sure I was hurt or injured in someway. After a second or two of recollection, I realized I sustained no serious injury. Fumes began to pour in my car from the engine smashing my ventilation system to bits. Very quicky I began to struggle for breath. I began to panic. I frantically reached for my car door and came barreling out of my still moving car. I landed outside my car on my feet gasping for air. People were yelling and shouting all around me. After I got my breath back, my instincts kicked in. I turned back towards the car and quickly stopped the vehicle and put it in park. By all accounts today, I probably should be in a hospital right now. There is no other way to explain this situation than my attributing my well-being to a very watchful God. I can surely testify today

Did the pagans practice the Pilgrimage, the Fast of Ramadan, running around the Kabah seven times, kissing the black stone, shaving the head, animal sacrifices, running up and down to hills, throwing stones at the devil, snorting water in and out the nose, praying several times a day toward Mecca, giving alms, Friday prayers? My readings are showing me they did. Can this be true?
