Yes, The thief on the cross had no books, the apostles only had the old testament. Heart knowledge is more important than head knowledge. We are meant to study to show ourselves approved unto the Lord , rightly dividing the word of truth.

I hunger for the whole word, But if I could only have one book . it would be the Gospel of John.

It starts out In the beginning Like Genesis and reveals the Creator, Elohim (Gods) Father , Son , Holy Ghost. and the way to salvation

Having access to all the books of the bible and all the churches in the world cannot save you. So to answer your question, no. Saving grace comes from Jesus Christ alone who died and rose again for you so that you can have eternal life with Him. Only when you ask Him for forgiveness and accept Him into your life to be your Savior, will you become a Christian.

Actually you can be saved without the bible. Take for instance a foreign missionary who speaks to others about the scriptures and the good news to those who don't have any scriptural resources on hand.

To a certain extent though I do believe that a person can only be saved through the presentation of a scriptural message. Whether that be through a mechanism like radio, television, missionary, or the Bible itself makes no difference. Romans 10:17 states faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

I think a person can be a christian by just professing to love and know there is a GOD and if I could only have one book of the bible it would be Mathew because it would remind me every day of the things Christ went through while on this earth for me

A person can be a Christian whether they have a Bible or not or are unable to read. But if you were to have access to only one book, I think the best book would be Revelation because of its relevance in the daily affairs of today and because it is "The Revelation" of Jesus Christ. When you read it Jesus Christ is "Revealed" to you.

You don't really need to read the Bible in order to become a Christian. All you have to do is realize that you're a sinner in need of a Savior, repent of your sins and accept Christ as your Savior.

Maturing as a Christian is another matter. You would need to read the Bible, the whole Bible, in order to mature as a Christian.

Being a Christian is not about a book.

One only needs to hear the word and respond to it by repenting and believing it. Most early Christians did not have access to God's word, just like some today.

A person can be a Christian without any books of the bible. All of creation cries out the name of GOD. (The part that didn't randomly mutate and we are to ignorant to understand that is.)

Shalom.

Most Christians in the religion's history never had access to Bibles, either because they couldn't read or because the printing press hadn't been invented yet.

Yet they were still Christians nonetheless.
