After all the bible says we were made in His own image.

Maybe God is an "It" rather than any certain gender like male, female, or gay?

This gets us to the nitty-gritty of PERCEPTION.

If God is the ultimate, then even classifying God as a supreme entity/being/whatever puts severe limitations on "I AM."

Personifying god is merely "making god in our image" so that we can get a handle on it with our extremely limited perception and insight.

Is God EVERYTHING? The slightest shift in the monotheistic perception enables us to see this as a possible way of comprehending God.

Looking at the creation... if we shift our perspective a bit and go from:

"God created everything out of nothingness."
to
"God created everything out of Himself."

We might get a better insight into the "Unity of God." Using this perspective, we can also see that EVERYTHING was made in God's image.

You will drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out. Just except what you hear and read in the Scriptures by faith and trust that God is. He is the I AM in the OT and the NT. He a self-existent being. He is the sustainer of life and is a soveign creator. Creation demands a living personal Creator. The heavens declare the glory of God and the firnament shows His handiwork. God never sleeps. We are made in the image of God by possessing intelligence, emotions and having a personality. We are spirits housed in a body of flesh. Flesh that will eventually die. Our spirit is eternal. No man has seen God. But one day we shall see Him as He really is if you remain faithful and true until the end.

No God is spirit;and pure Love he is more than our puny brain can handle. The depths we seek of Him are infinite and an everlasting life of happiness the truth is always tainted by the devil. The universe is large trillions of miles and it goes on forever;God is bigger and all He thinks is of us and our Love.He wants to be worshiped in spirit and truth;but at the same time He is also human made in the image and likeness Jesus.

Gay is a gender? Anyway, if you really want to know about the nature of God, I suggest going to Him personally. It seems to me you are just sitting around ruminating about it and are liable to come up with an infinite number of scenarios to muse over. Since you refer to the Bible, God is referred to as Father throughout. But He is also defined as Spirit, and no serious seeker thinks He has gender per se. He made us in His image, male and female. That seems to tell me that male and female are separate in us, but unified in God. That's why when a man and a woman come together in marriage, they are said to be "one flesh." If you really want to learn about God, He is willing that you learn. But coming up with new (to you) possibilities as to His nature from your own imagination is pretty much spinning your wheels.

Since the Bible refers to God using masculine pronouns, I believe He is male. He is not, however, a man. He made us in His image. If you made a statue or a robot that looked like you, would it be equal to you?

Jehovah is God Almighty in wisdom, strength, power, justice and love.
Man was created first and with his cardinal qualities. That is how we were created in his image.
Since Jehovah is God Almighty, he has chosen to represent himself in terms of gender that his creation will understand.
The title, Father, means life giver.
Since Jehovah is the Creator, he gave us life, he is considered our father, and therefore male.

what is wrong with so many people here?!

God made us in His own LIKENESS, having emotions, senses, a being, free will, etc.

God refers to Himself as the Father, so what more do you need to know about which He says He is? and I think you people are sick minded if you want God to have a sexuality or genitals. God is not gay, He doesn't like homosexuality and He has no need to have intercourse. get it through your sick heads...
