Here's what I say, " O Heavenly Father, I give You all honor and praise. For You are worthy. Forgive me my sin as I forgive others their sins against me. Save me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Give me victory over my short-comings, enemies, and the devil. Bless my enemies, friends, and family alike. Bless me to fufill the pre-ordained purpose, You gave me. Give me strength to accompish Your will. Bless me with Your wisdom. Heal my body and spirit. I thank You for hearing and answering, O Heavenly Father. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

What do you say?

The most important part of prayer is the part where you listen.

Get your talking over as soon as possible and just listen for an answer.

Try It. You may be surprised.

Love and blessings Don

Well, first, "Dear Heavenly Father..." and then i thank him for everything he gives me, which is different depending on what happened that day.
Then i ask for the blessings i need, such as, "Please Bless me to have a Good Night Sleep" or "Please Bless me to have a Good, Fufilling Day". And ask him for spesific blessings i feel i need.
Then if its a night prayer, i tell him what i did that day, He may know everything that goes on, but he likes to hear it from his Children. If its the beggining of the day i tell him what i have in mind for that day.
Then once i am all done with all i need to say, i say, "In the name of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, Amen."
Compair praying to a child talking to a mother, saying "Please, please, please" and never saying anything else. Maybe have the child (you) say, "I am gratefull that i have what i have, and i would like this very much..." Instead of the same thing, day after day after day.

You've got the basics covered, praise, thanksgving, repentance, petitions, and praying is Jesus' name. Just keep all that and talk to God as your Heavenly Father. He doesn't want ritualistic rhetoric, He wants your love and conversation. I just remember the basics and talk to Him like He's my best friend, which He is.

Well, I guess it really depends. I do praise Him before I pray, but what I say to Him really depends on what I need. Sometimes I just talk like He's right with me. Sometimes I will drive and just talk to Jesus like he is in the seat next to me. I just talk to Him like I would talk to any of my friends, so to speak. I find that if I'm just real with Jesus, He makes himself that much more real to me.

O Supreme Godhead, I offer my obeisances unto You. O master! O my Lord, be pleased upon me. By showering Your glance of mercy upon me, deliver this poor ignorant fool who is immersed in an ocean of worldly sorrows, and become visible to my eyes.
Please my Lord, cut this attachment for this useless material world and take me with You. O Almighty Lord! I have no desire to accumulate wealth, nor have I any desire to enjoy beautiful women, nor do I want any number of followers. I only want Your causeless devotional service on to You.

I pray in Arabic. Then I ask ALLAH to look after my brothers and sisters in Islam, my husband's family, me and my husband, and to get Palestine back from the Jews. I also pray for my husband's dad's sheep.
