Jesus Christ (pbuh), following both the Gospels and the Qur’an, was born of the virgin Mary, who was just like any other human being. It is common knowledge that whoever is born cannot be deified. Jesus Christ was a human being who used to eat and drink just like anybody else. He was susceptible to hunger, grief and/or merriment. He experienced all the paraphernalia pertaining to human life. His miraculous creation from no father is no stranger than that of Adam, a being who was both fatherless and motherless. This is an evidence of God’s omnipotence. Jesus Christ was no more than a servant to, and messenger of God, who revealed the scripture in order to promulgate it and carry out His call. On the day of judgement Jesus Christ is not to be judged because of those who deified him in exclusion of God or thought of him as parallel.

James
Listening and Doing
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.

26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. 27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
Galations
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

For example, this morning I listened to Faure's Requiem while getting ready for work. I stayed a little late at work, but I might make it to the tail end of my church's Ash Wednesday's contemplative service tonight if I leave in a few minutes. They'll probably have ashes there. If not, I might burn a match and smear some on myself when I get home.

I considered fasting, but I didn't. I haven't yet eaten meat today, though.

So, out of curiosity, what are you doing/have you done?

Since Israel was completely wiped out in 722 BC, why would anyone still take any of those 'promises' seriously?

I mean, I understand that since all of the 12 tribes were wiped out except the tribe of Judah, that has allowed the Christians, Muslims, Mormons and many, many cults to try to get in on the 11 open spots in God's will. But since 11 of the 12 tribes were utterly destroyed and the last tribe (The Jews) hasn't exactly had a blessed existence, why would anyone want anything to do with that nonsense?

By the way, the modern state of Israel is really more of a modern Judea. They can call it whatever they want, it doesn't make it so.

After all it was the serpent that was in favor of Adam and Eve learning. God wanted to keep them ignorant!

So if we want to say this or that is a sin the main sin should be KNOWLEDGE! After all it was the FIRST ONE!

God's name, the tetragrammaton, appears more than 7000 times in the original text, so he obviously wanted us to know it. We are also taught to pray to him and "hallowed (blessed) be thy name", so his name must be important. But why did the author of the greatest book ever written, allow his name to be taken out of it? And why do priests say that the name of God is God? God is just a title like, President or Teacher. Why do they ignore the Tetragrammaton? This is more than just one question I realize, but it burns me up. How well do you someone if you don't even know their name? How can we say we know God and have a personal relationship with him, when we don't even know his name?

The Islamic Trinity is composed of: Muhammad, Allah, and the Uncreated Quran.

Deity Muhammad compared to Deity Jesus:

Quran 4:59 "O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger ....refer it to Allah and His Messenger, ." http://www.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/004.qm...

So according to the Quran, not only does Muhammad deserve OBEDIENCE on par with Allah, but also, Muslims must "refer" problems, NOT ONLY TO ALLAH, but to Muhammad as well. Notice it says "and". All the translations are clear. So if a Muslim refers an issue to only Allah, he is violating this aya because he is supposed to refer it to both.

Naturally, only a deity could deserve obedience and power of judegment on par with another deity. Thus, according to the Quran, no matter how much Muslims deny it, clearly Muhammad made himself a God. No question about it.

So, compare "all must go through Jesus" to "all must OBEY and DEFER judegment to Muhammad". Not much different.
