I learn about your religion, from yourself, not some website that's againts you nor from someone who doesn't know anything about your religion, and I will teach you about my religion, from myself, a valid source and a true member of my religion.

After that I will respect your religion and as I respect your religion, why not you respect mine too? Sounds fair right?

But, it is understood, that your religion is your religion, my religion is my religion, let's not get tangled in each others affair.

Can we all act civilized and mature like this?

How does this sound?

What do you think?

....of course not. So why do people read one book on Jesus and then say that they know him?

Why not? I can't imagine why god doesn't say, "hey, enough is enough." "too many of my chosen people are dying and suffering". "let me straighten this out and right some wrongs". what would be a GOOD reason for your god to not do that. If your religion is based on goodness, why doesn't at least one of these gods reveal himself and save his followers from harm?

And isnt this like polytheism? Try not to be politically correct for a second, and tell me what you actually think it is?

really if you break it down it pretty much comes to this.

"You are persecuting me by not allowing me to persecute everybody else."

i do not want to hear about what happens to Christians in Muslim countries, they would treat an Atheist or Pagan the same.
Where do you get off living in America and claiming persecution. the laws of the country are geared towards your beliefs.
so they do not sanction prayers in school and government buildings big deal, that means everybody not just you. everything else is either already geared to your religion, or legislation is in effect to make it so.

As such I would like to post an open forum allowing each person to post what belief system they have and some common misconceptions about it. Also answers to those misconc eptions.
I also encourage each of you to read the answers posted so that we may all learn something from each other.

There is no question that humans have mutated and changed over thousands and thousands of years. But have we evolved from another species? Dog breeding has proven that new types of dogs can evolve. But could you ever evolve a cat from a dog even tho they have similiar bodies?

In the story of Noah's flood, god created the rainbow to represent a promise, right? But rainbows are nothing but refracted light... Is the bible suggesting that light never refracted before Noah's flood? Also, the bible says that it never rained before Noah's flood, which COULD explain there being no rainbows.. but then how did living things survive without rain?

If genetic engineering or some other technology could allow chimps or dolphins (even octopuses perhaps) communicate with us.

Would they be interested in evolution? Or would they have their own form of creationism and say squeak squeak god is a dolphin and declare a holy war on land mammals?

Does he also love terrorists and suicide-bombers? if he doesn't, does that mean he hates them? and if he does, would that mean that they are saved and having fun in heaven right now?

If you kneel at the Baptist preacher's altar, and do the special incantation, and say "Hallelujah!" to Jesus, you are spontaneously saved; and you can still sin. You get a special pass for Judgment Day and go directly to Heaven when you die.
Whereas, people who do not believe in Jesus, even if they are righteous people, will burn and rot in Hell forever.
Question: Is Christianity sweet or what?

I contend worst ever....I'm tempted to go with Passion of the Christ, but I can't because I never watched it. I'll go with Rapture, starring Muriel Hemmingway.

For best.....I should take the classic Ten Commandments....but I won't. It's a tie between the first Prophecy...and Stigmata.
