....of course not. So why do people read one book on Jesus and then say that they know him?

Does anyone else realize that it is impossible to know someone by reading a book about them? ESPECIALLY one that contains NO first hand writing and is only written by someone else who may or may not have been there?

Napoleon I of France has been the subject of more biographies than any other person from European history, male or female.

That means he was written about more than Jesus was, and the books are more credible (19th century comparing to 1st century, books were written during his presence)

Next time, email whoever has been ignorant about Napoleon or whatever, don't waste points

Because people who have been born again by the Spirit of Christ Jesus can still talk to Him and in some cases hear Him speaking back to them. Jesus is still alive unlike Napoleon.

I haven't read very many books on Napoleon, but I do have a personal relationship with Harry Potter...

point taken. The main difference is that Napoleon is dead and Jesus is ALIVE. I talk with him all the time and I feel his presence when I pray. I do feel I have a relationship with him.

This is my relationship and I don't need it validated by anyone else. I am simply sharing this to answer your question.

The only things that Jesus and Napoleon have in commen was that they were both quoted and never authored.

But they will counter with "I pray and I feel his presence". I prayed for many years and tried my very best to feel the presence of "something" and it never came. i guess I just never went along with the mass hysteria called the "holy spirit".
