I learn about your religion, from yourself, not some website that's againts you nor from someone who doesn't know anything about your religion, and I will teach you about my religion, from myself, a valid source and a true member of my religion.
After that I will respect your religion and as I respect your religion, why not you respect mine too? Sounds fair right?
But, it is understood, that your religion is your religion, my religion is my religion, let's not get tangled in each others affair.
Can we all act civilized and mature like this?
How does this sound?
What do you think?

Sounds hunky dory to me. Keep the faiths away from the schools, out of the laws, and I'm happy.
I'm even willing to compromise on the pledge and the money.

You sound like the serpent talking to Eve; Jesus did come to make division not peace; Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
John 7:43 So there was a division among the people because of him.
John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
If Jesus is a Christian's example then why should we have peace with different religions;Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 11:18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
Now you can see inside the body of Christians there is suppose to be no division, but outside the body you should only try to get along as much as possible; Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Our secular humanist Constitution of the United States of America protects our freedom of religion and our freedom from religion. That is a very good thing. That is what I believe.

religion gets in the way of people getting along, true spirituality is not being a follower, but learning how to think for yourself, without Jesus or Budda or any other teachers.

your way of thinking is way too politically correct for my taste. I have the right not to respect you or your religion.
