It was also really great to hear Tony say that he and Lovie both felt that being Christian coaches was more important than being African American! God Bless them both! Too bad Boomer had to ruin it by saying Tony gave thanks to "his" God. Boomer, you idiot, there's only one God.

there must be some reason why otherwise intelligent people genuinely believe a carpenter guy, illiterate, post-neolithic world knowledge, is going to float down out of the sky and fix humanity's problems. Or save a place in a glorious eternal afterlife for folk who've killed other humans

If Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus was a created angel similar to Lucifer who later became Satan...why would God trust Jesus to walk the earth among humans, when He also COULD have been capable of rebellion similar to his created angelic brother Lucifer?

I think Witnesses teach that Jesus was the Archangel Michael.

Afterall, Lucifer only had access to two PERFECT humans in the Garden of Eden, and look at the damage he caused. I can't imagine why God would allow a rebellious angel to walk the earth in the flesh among sinful humans. Would God really put his children at spiritual risk like that?

Also, it would seem that only God would have the ability to release mankind from their sins...not a created angel? I'd like to hear from Jehovah Witnesses to understand how they've reached this conclusion. But anyone is welcome to respond. Thanks

If God used evolution, it musta happened pretty darn fast. death came through sin, so before man, nothing would have died, because it was man that sinned. your looking at a pretty large amount of animals an stuff if nothing died bfore man came about. and than the mass deaths years after the fall... wow, dont even want to thin about it. the missing links would really be every where in that case,,, anyway, thats not all. we were made in Gods image. where apes also made in /gods image? were fish also made in Gods image?

I am a Christian and i believe in a seven day creation, where each day is 24 hours. if God could make the universe, why couldnt he make man instantly like he made the physical matter appear?

God created a Universe in which he placed creatures capable of reproducing themselves. The mechanism he designed allowed for characteristics to be passed on by both parents and for these various combinations to produce small changes from generation to generation. Successful changes are propogated whereas unsucessful changes die out. Where is the conflict?
We know that some gifted people are born sterile so these gifts cannot be passed on and we know that we are not identical copies of our parents so that some changes must have occurred in the process of being conceived. Unless the belief is that God hand makes each individual there does not appear to me to be any logical conflict in the theories of creation or evolution.

examlpe... Psalm 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

There isn't a shadow around the Almighty, there is light, and since there isn't any death in heaven, there is no darkness, no shadows, because God is all light.

from creation God controlled history to write his word.ie, he made things the way they were so he could write his word, and underneath it is the spiritual word of God where there are no contradictions. Romans 1:19,20

The link appears obvious. What happens when one species thinks every other aspect of creation was put there merely as toys and tools for itself? Zero respect, that's what. Animals, plants, soil and air become economic goods for human desires ... and the environment pays the price for something that regularly touts its humility. In fact, it is the greatest arrogance and selfishness.
