why do you feel the need to find an answer for a question that is untestable? okay, if you wanna play that game....who created god? i know so many that say god has always been, he wasn't 'created'...if so, how do you know that life hasn't always existed in some form? just because you don't have a factual answer to your question doesn't mean that you have to make one up...

Your first mistake is in thinking someone created us. No one created us.
"No one knows why the universe came into being. In fact, it is not entirely clear that we can coherently speak about the "beginning" or "creation" of the universe at all, as these ideas invoke the concept of time, and here we are talking about the origin of space-time itself.
The notion that atheists believe that everything was created by chance is also regularly thrown up as a criticism of Darwinian evolution. As Richard Dawkins explains in his marvelous book, "The God Delusion," this represents an utter misunderstanding of evolutionary theory. Although we don't know precisely how the Earth's early chemistry begat biology, we know that the diversity and complexity we see in the living world is not a product of mere chance. Evolution is a combination of chance mutation and natural selection. Darwin arrived at the phrase "natural selection" by analogy to the "artificial selection" performed by breeders of livestock. In both cases, selection exerts a highly non-random effect on the development of any species."
"Atheists don't believe that life is meaningless.
On the contrary, religious people often worry that life is meaningless and imagine that it can only be redeemed by the promise of eternal happiness beyond the grave. Atheists tend to be quite sure that life is precious. Life is imbued with meaning by being really and fully lived. Our relationships with those we love are meaningful now; they need not last forever to be made so. Atheists tend to find this fear of meaninglessness … well … meaningless."
I think its the religious that have problems. As for purpose, you create your own purpose. It is not here to be a slave to any god.

Is it the "Perfect" time? That my friend is a matter of opinion. According to the theory of evolution though natural selection , we are as we are at this point in time because of all the circumstances leading up to the present. If Dinosaurs had not gone extinct ( all of them have not ) it may be that our ancestors would have evolved quit differently and things would be much different. If you choose tho believe that humans at the present are the "PERFECT" life form then good for you. Your cup is half full or maybe overflowing a little. It is however your opinion and a matter of faith not fact. As to the second part of your question - wouldn't it be fantastic if we could watch a movie showing an accurate metamorphosis of all the changes from the start of life on the planet earth to the present. That would rock! I hope someday that we can. Sweet question man.

Her's an answer for you. God created us to live for no apparent reason so we can one day be with him in a magical place full of rainbows and virgins. I guess he got lonley and decided that the friends he makes should fight, die, suffer and go through all the other horrible things we do before we get to meet him, and when we do he'll explain everything and he'll be right becasue he has to be...
OR
Some crazy story about amino acids and things changing over billions of years and all that stuff. Like dinosaurs used to walk around without humans and the earth is really almost 5 billion years old.

Who says you have to be "created"?
What's this about "chance"? Who says species arise by "chance"? Haven't you heard of natural selection?
As to "purpose", what makes you think that "purpose" has to come from something or somebody outside yourself?
"Human" is quite well defined. It means that you are a member of the genus *homo*, such as of the species *homo sapiens*. And I hate to break it to you fundies, but our species is part of the animal world. Sorry if that spoils your day, but it really is better for your mental health to deal with realities instead of mystical fantasies.
.
P.S.: Today is Charles Darwin's birthday. Happy birthday, Chuck. You would be laughing if you could see the way the book-worshipping fundies twist and wriggle to try to avoid coming to terms with the reality of biology.

I was created by accident when my daddy thought he was going to Vietnam, and my Mom decided to make the most of thier last few hours together. However - he was not sent to train the American troops - like he had to in Korea - so I had a good education, with free thinking, which involved a bit of bible study, but I grew out of it when i left school.
I am part of the mammals of the order of Primates
Family: Hominidae
Genus: Homo
of the Species: H. sapiens
- that descended from a ape-like creature several million years ago. I am also English, part Icelandic, part Irish, part Cornish, descended from the Yeomen Farmers of southern Oxfordshire on me mums side, and Stone masons of Derbyshire on my dads side.

My parents created me. Apparently I was the result of a missed birth control pill. Woopsie! XD
So yes. In my case, I was an accident. But I've made my own purpose, as should we all.
How do I define myself as human? Check the DNA strands.

A lot of chance, no creation by intent, but I'm here and plan to make the most of it.

Why is that question SO important? Is it maybe because if you believe that god created you so you don't have to feel so scared to the question "Maybe I'm wrong", does the thought or believing in god ease your mind that much? Do you maybe ask this question in hopes that you might find out how we live our daily lives "NOT" believing in god, and can still sit in our own skin
