No. That's not how it's supposed to happen. That's Mithraism intruding into Christianity. The Sun (the star that Earth revolves around), rises in the eastern sky, and in Mithraism, the son of the sun god does that.

Considering earth is a sphere (roughly), every point in the sky is 'eastern' to someone else.

So Jesus is going to rip the atmosphere off the earth? Wow. What a heck of a way for him to slaughter everyone.

Actually the bible says that when Jesus comes back it will be as lightening from the east to the west. All will see him.
