examlpe... Psalm 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

There isn't a shadow around the Almighty, there is light, and since there isn't any death in heaven, there is no darkness, no shadows, because God is all light.

God didn't write it man did, I said there is some minor problems, I just wanted your thoughts as a human, none of us are perfect, so don't exspect the Bible to be that's reworded from man... that's all I am saying.

When they say "Shadow of the Almighty", they don't mean really His shadow. In this case, it means His image, His Presence. My name, Addison, means "shadow of Jesus". That means I was created in His Presence, His image. If you need any Bible help, email me at babigurladds@yahoo.com or arhea_abr@yahoo.com. I check both everyday.

I believe in the bibles word.. I do also think that man has changed some things...
Like the taking out of Gods name and putting in its place LORD....
like read Psalms 83:15-18..
the old KJ has in verse 18 the name Jehovah.. but the new one has LORD.. So when you read it try it both ways... It is easy to see how some follow the teaching of the trinity..

I do know that no matter what man does that it is all still inspired teachings
2 Tim.3:16,17; "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness.that the man of god may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work"

God will not let man change it so that they can not come to accurate knowledge of the Bible... Just takes a little searching.

You asked what my thoughts are. As an historian, the bible was written by pretty much a starving sect of judiasm.... Its stories not much different that other stories of other starving shephards of the time, both before and after the early 300BC in what we now call the Middle East.

The three main religions of today -- judiasm, christianity, and islam, pretty much come from the same group of people, and pretty much have a very vicious god that all worship... not my judgment, hon, just fact, read the Old Testament -- all of it , not just the parts you like. As well, read the Qu'aran... all pretty much the same thing.. My thoughts? Believe in whatever makes you a better person.... even if it is to believe that the moon is made of green cheese. If it works for you, great

Since the bible has been written in so many languages there is always the possibility that minor flaws could be made. I have read the bible through many times and studied it a lot but still there are things I dont understand and may never understand it all but I believe every word in it and like you say, there are minor flaws that are overlooked.

I am not very familiar with the Book of Psalms but the shadow of GOD may mean one of those who are lower in stature than GOD ALMIGHTY. It could actually be written using symbolic language. I agree with you that GOD is all-light and has no darkness in heaven from what I have read. Keep the faith and have a great week!

As I have found, it takes research of the culture of the time the verse was written and many other things to get a clear understanding. I'm sure someone will come along her and post one. I believe this verse to mean that if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, on earth you will live in the shadow of God's wings, that means like a mother bird, He will always be watching over you and taking care of you, always, even when it doesnt seem like it because God created us to do work for Him on this earth, He never promised us a rose garden. You would be surprised the peace He can give one in the most awful situations. That is the power of God.

I was written by men, some smarter than others. Nevertheless, the Bible was still written by men with a Bronze age understanding of the world.

Saying the Bible had minor flaws is like calling Big Ben a time piece.

The modern King James Version of the bible is an amalgamation of hundreds and thousands of other texts, papyrii, etc.

So one man did not write it, it was composed over centuries and then King James did all the editing to suit his own need for control and power over his people.

Great stories and an interesting read, but "word of God", I don't think so.

The Bible is the word of God and it is a God breathed. God wouldn't condrandict Himself in the Bible.
