i seen someone mention this in another question

Ephesians 1:11
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

if things are predestined ....
then where is the free will ?
and if things are predestined ... what is the point in ministering to people ?

Seems like a "faith organ" would be much simpler to design, as well as saving a lot of space! Then again, maybe He DOES want us to use our reason, instead of relying on blind faith!!!

I am a personal believer in repecting a man's religion as far as I would repect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart. What say you?

"And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul." - Genesis 2:7 (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)

"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." - Genesis 2:7 (King James Version)

According to this verse the man is a living soul. The living soul is nothing else than dust + breath of life. So, why do most of people say that we have inside a soul when we are a soul? Is there another way to understand this verse? You have to take it word by word. There's nothing metaphorical here.
And it also says that Adam became a living soul. That means that there can be dead souls too. So, we're not immortal. We don't have something inside us that survives after death.
"The soul that is sinning—it itself will die." - Ezekiel 18:4, 20 => The person who's sinning (the living soul) dies.

After all, none of the things we enjoy in life are allowed there - no sex, no food, no drink, nothing! How do you plan on enjoying yourselves there - running errands for the Almighty? Singing endless church hymns? I can't imagine you not getting bored of it after a VERY short time - after awhile, you'll be petitioning God for admittance to the OTHER place, on the off chance it's better!

im not saying that all people are going to hell, or that anyone deserves to die. I am not a terrorist, i do believe all scriptures that they teach words of wisdom and have pearls of great price and doctrines that are the spoken words of God. If the scritpurres say dont practice witchcraft(s) or sorcery because it (theyare) the weapons of the ruin of society, then i believe them. If they say REPENT and BELIEVE, I believe.
but Knowing the difference between what is from God and what is from Satan who pretends to be God in all countries and nations, who has built up a society called babylon and an antichristian church that looks like a lamb, but truly evil, then how can anyone discern between the truth of knowing the spirit of God when HE appears and the spirit of satan when can also appear and does call himself the son of god. ?
im sorry for the long question and statement.
I bear witness of the glory of jesus christ, i beheld an angel appear in my room, then i also saw Jesus again

The report released today saying that humans are "very likely" the cause of Global Warming. Now we know we are the reason the climate is going crazy and changing the planet's climate. I have heard alot of theologians saying that "this is revealations, we are going to burn!" But since HUMANS are the cause of this problem, how can this be some sort of punishment from god. We are, in fact, punishing ourselves and our future as a civilation by one thing...our arrogance.

Egyptians randomly made up a religon. The rest of them believed it because they had to go along with it. Who is to say God wasn't just made up by the Israelites and they wrote legends about him? What makes him different?

Why are the religons of the ancient Egyptians "obviously made up" but monotheism is "possible"?

I'm just wondering. What sets it apart? I don't mean to call anyone's religon a myth...

ARE there people who believe in the religon of ancient Egypt and don't think it was made up?

(I just used Egyptian religion as an example...I'm agnostic)

In the New Testament, Jesus says it's the will of the Father that all should come to Him (be saved). But according to the Book of Revelation (and many Christians), a whole lot of people are going to wind up roasting in Hell instead of going to Heaven like Jesus said the Father wanted. Since Satan wants all those people to go to Hell, and they will, doesn't that count as a win for him and a loss for God? After all, God doesn't get what He said He wants, right...?

The same standards exist, you cannot control "free will", and you cannot use your powers to gain more time with them. Who would you help? Sabotage? Would you try to save people from death, or would you fear upsetting the natural balance?

Don't even bother to say that god created the people he killed in the first place! It's so pointless; why would you kill someone you created?

Yazdanism refers to native monotheistic religions practiced among Kurds: Alevism, Yarsan and Yazidism. The main element in Yazdani faiths is the belief in seven angelic entities that protect the world, therefore these traditions are named as Cult of Angels The original religion of the Kurds was Yazidism, a religion greatly influenced by the Jewish, Deavic, Zoroastrian, Christian and Islamic beliefs. However there are significant differences between Yazdanism and Zoroasterianism, such as the belief in reincarnation. Most Yazidis live in Iraqi Kurdistan, in the vicinity of Mosul and Sinjar]. The Yarsan (or Ahl-e Haqq) religion is practised in western Iran, primarily around Kermanshah. Christianity and Judaism both are still practised in very small numbers. Rabbi Asenath Barzani, who lived in Mosul from 1590 to 1670, was among the very first Jewish women to become a rabbi.

Man is supposedly made in God's image (according to Christianity). This would mean that God resembles a human being in appearance and thus has all the major parts that a human has. Why would God, who is supposedly all powerful and exists in a plane of reality we can't understand, need things like arms and legs?

they may be going up against someone of their own faith in another country?

A recent program on the History Channel did a story about a young man who was a trained Sharp Shooter. One of his targets turned out to be a young man from a Mormon family he had stayed with while on Missionary work in the country they were fighting, prior to the war. The actor playing the part was the grandson of the actual solder. In this case, he missed his target, but one has to wonder how many others he didn't miss? Is this what God and Christ would have wanted of Christians, to be willing to kill each other in support of a human government?
