Josephus, a Jewish historian, mentioned Jesus in his writings toward the end of the first century C.E., roughly 60 years after Jesus' death.
As a non-Christian, Josephus would have no reason to accept the historical reality of Jesus unless there was some sound basis for it.
In one of his works, Josephus discusses disturbances that were caused by the Jews during the time Pontius Pilate was governor of the region of Judea (26-36 C.E,) The disturbance centered around a man named Jesuss and his followers, Josephus identifies Jesus as "a wise man....a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of men who received the truth with pleasure," and he notes that Jesus was later condemned by Pilate to crucifixion. While this mention of Jesu does not suggest that Josephus himself accepted Jesus or the claim made about Jesus by his followers, it does seem clear that Josephus recognized Jesus to be a historical person who had a profound impact on the people he encountered.
Read also about Tacitus, a Roman historian.....Pliny the Younger another Roman source and Suetonius a Roman historian and lawyer.
All these writers prove the historical existence of Jesus......rather than biblical sources.

The average age was 30, in that most died in childbirth, so same as today, for a few.
Data can be obtained by dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in the study of ancient human remains - a method of assessing bone health in an ancient population: poor diet, for example, could reasonably be expected to affect bone density. But the studies only have a selection of the populations to study- and little data to suggest what the selection died of?
The age of Augustus is paradoxically far more poorly documented than the late Republican period that preceded it. While Livy wrote his magisterial history during Augustus's reign and his work covered all of Roman history through 9 BC, only epitomes survive of his coverage of the late Republican and Augustan periods. Our important primary sources for this period include the:
Res Gestae Divi Augusti, Augustus' highly partisan autobiography,
Historiae Romanae by Velleius Paterculus, a disorganized work which remains the best annals of the Augustan period,
Controversiae and Suasoriae of Seneca the Elder.
Antiquities of the Jews (Antiquitates Judaicae in Latin) was a work published by the Jewish historian Josephus, also known as Flavius Josephus, about 93-94 -
While Roman civilization has a reputation for its many great accomplishments, Roman society itself had an economy based on agriculture and trade, with a significant manufacturing sector.
In contrast with other civilizations of the time, in ancient Rome land was private property and there was a market for land in the empire. This helped to make Roman agriculture the most advanced form of agriculture in the ancient world, since the most efficient farms generated the largest profit and the inneficient farms were forced out of the market.
Thus a small porportion of people were landlords - lived into old age -, the rest were labrothers and slaves, which had a very low life expetency. Total: 35% of the labour force employed in agriculture plus 5% in husbandry. From a total estimated population of 65 million by the time of Tiberius and a labour force of some 25 million, some 10 million were farmers.
Life at the edge of the empire was also very cheap, and a little backwater like Galiee would have been a hard place to make a living in Jesus's time.

Adam was created on or about Oct 1 4026 BCE using our the biblical and Gregorian calendars.
Jesus was born in the year 2 BCE and was baptized in the fall of 29 CE making him about 30 years of age.
So mankind would have been on the earth for 4,025 years before Christ was born.
Men had average life spans like we do today. Some die early because of accidents, disease, or carelessness and others lived to be a ripe old age.

According to wikipedia, the average life span of the Roman Empire was 28 years old. The Romans were in control during that time period, so I think it applies.
