The report released today saying that humans are "very likely" the cause of Global Warming. Now we know we are the reason the climate is going crazy and changing the planet's climate. I have heard alot of theologians saying that "this is revealations, we are going to burn!" But since HUMANS are the cause of this problem, how can this be some sort of punishment from god. We are, in fact, punishing ourselves and our future as a civilation by one thing...our arrogance.

Earth is the only home we will ever have, unless we venture to the stars.

How does it connect? By allowing the christians who contributed to global warming to not take responsibility for their actions by "being in the world, not of the world" and "Jesus will come back and fix all the problems we created."

Edit: No, it was written by a man who had been exiled to the island of Crete after being tortured (boiled in oil). This is the person who had the "vision" of the Revelation.

i assume i'm going to could start up from the initiating for you. The greenhouse effect is led to by using a layer of atmospheric gasses that save the planet heat, even at evening. without it, we would be like the moon- warm on the sunny area, chilly on the dark area and no existence ought to stay to tell the tale the temperature swings, no longer to show without an environment. the 2d planet from the solar, Venus (earth is the third planet from the solar), has a run away greenhouse effect. Their environment is so thick that any easy that gets via and strikes the exterior turning to warmth can not get away lower back into area, subsequently the temperature is around 4 hundred'F, even on the dark area of the planet. Now Mercury, yet another planet that's even closer to the solar, has a very skinny environment which does no longer catch any warmth. even in spite of the undeniable fact that its only 0.5 as some distance from the solar as Venus is, the temperature on the dark area of the planet is below -a hundred'F. Now for international warming: whilst greater warmth reaches the earth, even in quite small quantities, than escapes lower back into area the earth warms up. some motives this may be is the solar is putting out greater warmth or the ambience is getting thicker so the warmth can not get away as nicely.

Revelations was the book that just tells us kind of what is going to happen...it never said how it was going to happen. Yeah we caused it or what ever but It had to end some time. But looking at the time period it was wrote it had to in a way make sense to the people of that time period, Its not like Revelations could say that because of cars and airplanes and electricity all this bad stuff is going to happen, it wouldn't make sense to the person that had the vision or the people that read it back then.

Very little really. It has more to to with the fact that Gaia is taking charge and will balance the Biosphere. These wacky weather patterns are only the beginning. The sooner we understand that the Earth is a living entity that we need to live in harmony with, the sooner we begin to make things better.

At present personally, I would connect it to Gen. 1:28 (no that is not scriptural old testament), and take it that man is messing up his God given authority over the earth.

Because God is going to scorch unrepentant humans with great heat, as per revelations.

THE SURVIVORS OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION WERE EXPOSED TO HEAT

It will be easy for overpopulated areas exposed to heat waves with so many needing electricity, there could be a shortage to cause heat discomfort in heat waves.

Rev.7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Sin is the cause of everything evil. Just because we SAY that the punishment is of God doesn't mean that He doesn't just let sin take it's natural course.
