I am not religious, and don't believe in God. But when it comes to religion I have a disgust with Islam. Why do women put up with those abuse bastards. Shouldn't women have the right to believe what they want, and wear what they want without getting killed ? How sick that the men do this because of Allah. Newspapers have the right to discredit thier faith and draw cartoons of him being a bastard. It just pisses me off that Arab men think Allah is so great yet they decide to live in thier own feces.

Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves.

Many Jews and Christians will try to ignore the moral problems of slavery by saying that these slaves were actually servants or indentured servants. Many translations of the Bible use the word "servant", "bondservant", or "manservant" instead of "slave" to make the Bible seem less immoral than it really is. While many slaves may have worked as household servants, that doesn't mean that they were not slaves who were bought, sold, and treated worse than livestock.

However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

I'm an agnostic who is in the process of seriously studying Buddhism. So far it's answering all of my questions, and, while I'm definitely not ready right now, conversion may be on the horizon at some point. So, out of curiosity, how would one go about doing that? I live in Northeast Tennessee, and, as one would expect, our area isn't diverse--religiously or otherwise. I'm stumped on this one, so any help is much appreciated.

How does our culture stack up in the eyes of God after reading these scriptures?

"envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Galations 5:21

"For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality" 1 thessalonians 4:3

I have been talking to a lady at work that is Catholic. She is the middle of a civil divorce and has three children. I know for her to remarry in the Catholic church she has to get an annullment, becuase they do not recognize civil divorces. Anyways....what happens with the children after an annullment according to the church? Since an annullment makes it so the marriage never existed wouldn't it make it so the children were created out of wedlock? Just wondering about the legistics of an annullment.

of i course i am speaking of his noodlyness, the Flying spaghetti monster, so can you technically say that there is NO possable way he dosnt exist, if you say that he can, then you are acknowlaging that it IS POSSABLE your god dosnt exist, making you an agnostic..... you if you say no, that means you KNOW FOR A FACT that your god exists, which means you do not have faith.

right?

Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark.7:9-13 "Whoever curses father or mother shall die" (Mark 7:10 NAB)

Jesus is criticized by the Pharisees for not washing his hands before eating. He defends himself by attacking them for not killing disobedient children according to the commandment: “He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” (Matthew 15:4-7)

Jesus has a punishment even worse than his father concerning adultery: God said the act of adultery was punishable by death. Jesus says looking with lust is the same thing and you should gouge your eye out, better a part, than the whole. The punishment under Jesus is an eternity in Hell. (Matthew 5:27)

Why is it that you say evolution does not occur? Really, I want to know. Could you please give me a good reason as to why you say this? I haven't gotten a good response yet. If you possibly can, please give any evidence you have. Thanks.
