I am not familiar with this phrase... But I do know that God is fair. He gives every person the opportunity to choose, the free will to decide and He loves them all the same. He does not favor anyone over another. He honors those who honor Him. He blesses those who bless and obey Him. God is truly all loving, but many people do not choose to balance that out with the justice of God. A good judge in today's culture would never be accused be unloving when he judges a case fairly and with justice. A criminal deserves to be punished. We are sinners, deserving punishment. God chose to provide an opportunity for every sinner. That's love! That's favor!

God does favor (grace) everyone.

But not everyone chooses to appreciate, or cooperate with his grace.

Those who do, get more. Those who don't, get less.

And that makes all the difference.

God doesn't give favors - we are on our own. It is your job to favor God and his will.

it's just another circular phrase that points out yet another bipolar characteristic in god.
