I asked a legitimate question of why Jesus was the Muslims messiah. Yahoo called it a violation because they said it wasnt a question or an answer. Why can't the Muslim religion be scrutinized and all the others can?

I mean in Christianity Jesus (pbuh) said let those who are sin free throw the first stone, so what does Islam say about who can throw and give the punishment.

Whenever I am in the shower, it sounds like the phone is ringing, I end up getting out of the shower to check, and it never is. Is it just me? Or do other people hear this as well? Perhaps something in the sound of water is like a phone ringing? Does this ever happen to you?

Is it a sin, for instance, to assert that God was wrong to drown most of humanity in the flood of Genesis, because this merely the way it seems from our "limited" point of view?

Are we qualified to trust our own moral intuitions in judging the wisdom of God and the Bible?

Why can't the christain faith take a stance in anything they believe in? We pretend to have authority in science but then when we are proved wrong just pass it off as the ignorant writers' fault without any questioning of what might else be false. Examples are when it was believed that the earth was the center of the universe, and now when more and more evidence is brought up in favor of human evolution. I mean first we didnt believe in evolution at all but we compromised that part too. I just need some kind of logical reassurance that there is some creditablity to what the bible has to say. It seems like faith alone doesnt cut it anymore when people who were faithful have got proven wrong and were made a fool of because of their "faith". help.

Most were Deists, which are quite different. A Deist is one who believes in God but denies supernatural revelation. A Christian believes that Jesus Christ was the messiah and died for our sins.

America was not founded as a Christian nation, but it has slowly evolved into one. I wish they would stop using those statements about the founding fathers.

How come so many Christians support Israel and the Jews? God replaced the old covenent with Israel with the new covenent in Jesus. The Jews are not God's chosen people anymore. He doesn't owe them any land or salvation. Christians should stop believing Israel will be restored as the kingdom of God. Everyone needs Jesus. The Jews rejected Jesus as the messiah. Christians are now God's people. The jews now are nothing like those in the old testament. There is no priesthood, sacrafices, or temple. Jews need to convert to Jesus
How many agree?

2007-02-01 14:12:26 · 11 answers · asked by enigma21 3

Jewish religion even discourages converting. Muslims are usually gracious to people who choose to convert on their own, but don't actively seek "lost sheep".

Why do catholics think that trying to understand the nature of God and some mysteries within the bible is something ment to be left alone?

Proverbs 1: 22-25 We are warned here to learn God's ways and turn at his reproof (correction). By doing this, we will get the help of the Holy Spirit to understand the scriptures.

Isaiah 34: 16 We are encouraged to seek out the information in the bible, which was gathered by God's spirit.

Colossians 1: 25-26 The mysteries, which have been hid for generations, are now made available God's followers.

Luke 11: 9-13 God will pour out His Holy Spirit for understanding to anyone who is truly asking and seeking the teachings of Christ.

1 Corinthians 4: 1 The ministers of Christ were appointed as caretakers of the mysteries of God.

Ephesians 3: 1-9 Just as the mysteries were made known to God's chosen prophets and apostles, everyone now has access to the knowledge of these mysteries - the unsearchable riches of Christ.

This is a question about abortion. Some people say that a fetus does not become a separate life -- a baby, if you will -- until a certain stage of development, and therefore abortion up to that point is acceptable. Others say that a fetus is a baby from the moment of conception, and therefore abortion is unacceptable at any time.

When is abortion acceptable or unacceptable, and why? Answers a bit more complicated than "because God says so" would be greatly appreciated. :-)
