I have been researching athesism and am at the point of considering myself an atheist. I am wondering how many of you who dont believe or dont conform to organised religion believe in Evolution or Intelligent Design?

I find that Evolution is one scientific group and ID is another scientific group and the two dont play well with each other. I find more scientific fact in evolution than a flying spaghetti monster.

I am looking for a discussion from both sides.

You know, the guy who pickets funerals of gay people or military men. He has some kind of a church that preaches hate. I don't see any action by him that seem the least bit Christian. What do you think?

Can't we come up with an excuse/reason/logical explanation for anything we choose to do, be it murder, rape, theft, whatever?

Isn't there always some explanation as to why we felt we had to do it? Does that make it OK, just because it can be explained?

They could not comprehend right and wrong, so disobedience (dont eat the fruit) was never wrong. Its not a matter of they should have listened to god, they just didnt understand that there was anything WRONG with NOT listening to god.

Along comes the serpent that tells them things.. Keep in mind, to adam and eve there is no such thing as a lie, so everything the serpent says MUST be fact.

So add it all up. You have 2 mentally retarded people (i say this because by todays standards, a 3 year old knows right from wrong where as adam and eve do not) + A immortal evil soul bent on corrupting them + a god that didnt adequately prepare them FOR the coming of satan. Either by telling them, KILL serpents you see, or putting something that would at least EAT the serpent in the garden + the tree of knowledge of good and evil, a thing so dangerous, that it shoulda been under angelic guard 24/7. Not just sitting in a pasture.

rev ,7 talks about 144,000 jews from the 12 tribes of isreal going to heaven... how do jws say that the verse is half literal meaning 144,000 and the other half is figureitive meaning jews from the 12 tribes??

what about 2 cor. 5,1-10 , that clearly states when are bodies here on earth die God will have a heavenly one for us...and dont say hes only speaking about the 144,000 because it doesnt even mention them.......he means all belivers....

Why do Catholics Actually believe that there church is the holy catholic church that jesus himself gave authority?

NEVER is there anything that Christ speaks about his church being named a Roman Universal...I mean Catholic Church. Why could it not just be the Roman Christian Church or Christ's Roman Church. Also, why are there understanding of the mysteries or doctrines of Christ so LAME.

One time in a chat room I asked catholics how would they explain the mysteries or nature of God, and some of them actually saide it is not in our right to try to ask such things leave it to God and the priests of God. Now that I can't seem to understand.

ok...my problem is doing roseries dedicated to the Virgin Mary...when i do it i feel uncomfortable for soem reason and i dont want to feel like that...I beleive in her and in what she did but i dont know why i feel uncomfortable while doing the rosery. i want to get rid of that feeling cause i dont do roseries anymore and i want to restart u know. the funny thing is, i'm 22 turning 23 soon and this happened twie to me in life, i was walking and this middle-aged woman came up to me and gave me a booket and said to me u need to pray the virgin Mary, i dreamed about it. now mind you i dont know this woman. another incident is when i was younger whenver something bad would happen, i would see her nad she would warn me...i just cant turn my back on that...I'm reaching to the Roman Catholic so they can help me get into the right path again...please help this is eating me out badly...thank u very much in advance!

First of all, yes, I know, a "tape" - very primitive. Anyhow, it was around 1996, and these tapes helped me to get through a very hard time in my life. It would be a dream come true to hear these songs again, but I have had no success in finding them, whether on tape or CD (which I'd prefer but will definitely take them on tape if that's the only availability).

The name of the series, I believe, was Scripture Memory Versus. For each song, a biblical verse was repeated throughout the song, accompanied by beautiful melodies. They sounded like contemporary songs, but the lyrics were biblical verses.

One song was called "If my People," sung by a male with a soulful, smooth voice. It was a slow and powerful song. Another was called "A Joyful Heart," and this was an upbeat song with a female vocalist.

There was a 2nd one with a country tone to it, and it had a song on it called "The seed will grow."

Help finding these will be so appreciated. Thank you for your help!
