I am a youth worker and am interviewing with our elders to come on staff. The main concern seems to be my tattoos. I got them after I became a Christian and from what I read in Leviticus It refers to marking your body for the dead. My answers when asked by teens if it's ok to get tats is that it is up to their parents and if they say no, then the answer is no.
This is my question. If tattoos are wrong then is it also wrong to
shave our heads or trim our beards
(Leviticus 21:5‘They shall not make any bald place on their heads, nor shall they shave the edges of their beards nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
wear linen and wool blends
Leviticus 19: 19‘ Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.
Eat a steak that is medium or rare
Leviticus 19:26‘You shall not eat anything with the blood,
Eat a lobster or shrimp
Leviticus11:12Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales —that shall be an abomination to you.

I was just wondering who prays for the president? I do agree with most of what he says, and if I'm completely honest, I think it makes praying for him easier. I was just wondering if all the people that disagree with him, pray for him as well. I know that may meen I'm not a very good person, but at least I'm honest. My point is I was just wondering if you disagree with his choices, do you still pray as much as his supporters?

i miscarried my baby Sunday and have been feeling very low. i feel so lost and angry and hurt. my faith is not in jeopardy, but i do need some uplifting. this is my second miscarriage in 12 months. on top of that i am trying to deal with the recent death of my father and the preparation of cancer killing my grandfather. please pray for me and my family, that God strengthens us in our time of need.

sorry i summited before i finished here is the situationI have a two year old son that ha tumors in his airway he has had 45 surgeries (every two weeks) he is on chemo 3 times a week but now he has to have his airway reconstructed with a graph from his ribs the dr said we must put him in a medical injuced coma for 10 days i am very very scared it is a dangerous surgery because of the chemo his immune system is really weak so they are afraid that his lungs will stop working and the med they will put him on is very addictive after 5 day 50% of people are addicted and after 10 100% are so we have to be careful with that also the reason I am telling you all this is I want as much prayer going around as possible his name is jeramiah and he is our only child the surgery will be on tue the 6th thank you all

Its nothing new, there's a church somewhere in California that uses Big Band music instead of hymns. Do you think its a good idea to drop hymns in place of some secular music? Any music is good as long as it glorifies God. Which type of music would you like to hear in your church in place of hymns? Why?
