Its nothing new, there's a church somewhere in California that uses Big Band music instead of hymns. Do you think its a good idea to drop hymns in place of some secular music? Any music is good as long as it glorifies God. Which type of music would you like to hear in your church in place of hymns? Why?

I saw that on the news yesterday. Interesting concept. Wonder if they are doing that to draw a bigger crowd?

The Church of England does not seem to follow GOD's WORD anyway. Why stop now. They had just as well open a McDonalds and serve french fries too while they are at it. There is no reason to stop there... The LORD's CHURCH follows the New Testament Scripture and does so at all times and in all ways. They will not change anything to make it man's house of worship. Find a Church that follows HIS WORD to the letter in all ways!

No, I wouldn't believe that.
I agree that we don't necessarily have to have "hymns", but there are some kinds of music that just aren't appropriate for church.
