No all religions preach peace and love ,and all practice war and hate ,and all the believers insist that they are good and full of compassion but that only aspects of their belief do not follow the teachings

Organized religions were iniciated in Babylon by the illuminati as part of a strategy to DIVIDE AND RULE
split humanity up into pieces that can be controlled more easily and make profit on the conflicts

one could say that violence and fear is the fuel of the engines of control and manipulation=religion

Why have you considered violence against non-believers as non-violent? Anything that is forced upon somebody else would be an act of violence. Most major religions preach peace and love and are inherently non-violent in nature. It is the interpretation of the followers and their zeal that lead to acts of violence. In that sense I don't think any major religion will have a completely non-violent past. But Buddhism probably is the only religion that actively advocated non-violence and accepted it as a major tenet of their faith.

I would say Hinduism, except for the epic battles of the Ramayana and Mahabharata, ahimsa is very important to Hindus. Those battles were fought to restore righteousness and do away with evil, but not evil in the "you're not following my faith, therefore you are evil" evil. It's more like the "you think you can be greater than God and cause havoc and destruction without batting and eye" evil.

I would also say Buddhism, except for the self-immolating priests, but that's an anomaly I think...

I dont know if i got your question right.

I know HInduism does not brag about peace, but practice it. It never waged war for religion, it was never intolerant except to protect itself, most of time it only got defeated by voilent and sudden attack from islam. But it is always solid in its belief of peace, because its true religion.

Buddism is also a preaceful religion. For that matter any religion except Christianity and Islam are peaceful faiths.

Jehovah's Witness have a non-violent past.

We do not participate in war, never have and never will. We do not use guns or any other means of violence. We believe in the Bible and follow Jesus's word to "turn the other cheek" (Matthew 5:39)
