What is the meaning & source of the custom that Eastern Orthodox have of writing the names of their bishops with a capitalized first name, often (but not only) as a signature on documents, e.g.,

+ KALLISTOS Ware, Auxiliary Bishop of Diokleia

+ BARTHOLOMEW, Ecumenical Patriarch

we capitalize them as they "suppose" to be the first ones, nearest to God, the ones that show us the correct path to spirituality, especially the first of all the patriarch in Fanari. He's like the Pope for catholics to us.

This is why the authors of the New Testament did not indentify themselves, it was not their WORDS. nor was the Glory thereof.

Jesus said; a man that comes in his own name seeks to glorify himself before men.
