How come so many Christians support Israel and the Jews? God replaced the old covenent with Israel with the new covenent in Jesus. The Jews are not God's chosen people anymore. He doesn't owe them any land or salvation. Christians should stop believing Israel will be restored as the kingdom of God. Everyone needs Jesus. The Jews rejected Jesus as the messiah. Christians are now God's people. The jews now are nothing like those in the old testament. There is no priesthood, sacrafices, or temple. Jews need to convert to Jesus
How many agree?

I'm sorry Srena, but if people reject the messiah that God had promised them then how could they still be chosen? God would not favor people who reject the only savior of the world. All things are in Jesus now, not Israel.

Holland_4: If they still need to get saved, then how can they be God's chosen people? They are not. After accepting Jesus, then that peron is chosen by God because he has faith in Jesus who was God.

Replacement theology (which is what you believe) is pure bunk. The Jews are God's chosen people, and always will be.You'd be hard pressed to explain away all of the prophecies in the Bible which refer to Israel and God's plan for her.
Yes,they did reject Jesus, and they still need to believe that He was the Messiah. But take a look at all of the prophecies in the Bible about the end times, and you'll see that God has a plan for Israel.I'm sorry if I camae on too strong, but replacement theology really bothers me.If people are going to deny Israel in the end times, fine, but prove it with scripture.Until then,I can't support your position.

it incredibly is authentic that maximum evangelicals are confident that Israel could be supported in each little thing it does through fact God "is on Israel's ingredient." They sense that the covenant between God and the rustic of Israel is an eternal one that cannot be broken no count what Jewish human beings do. in addition they sense that the Jews are forever God's chosen human beings. for the reason that they sense God is often on the ingredient of Israel, evangelicals do not prefer to do something which could “disturb” God. If God is on Israel’s ingredient, then that they had better be too in the event that they desire God’s blessing. For some reason, scriptures which incorporate Matthew 21:40 two- 40 3 and Matthew 23:37-38 that have been at one time quoted by them to assist the very factors you delivered out (that the covenant is long previous) at the instant are robotically ignored or ignored. If that weren't sufficient, Acts 10:34-35 evidently states that in the time of each usa the guy that works righteousness is suitable to God. that includes Jews for my section. yet not as a rustic. The covenant between God and Israel substitute into conditional. yet maximum folk forget approximately that. I’m not extremely beneficial why. yet I agree inclusive of your statements and the scriptures undergo them out. Hannah J Paul

Check out Romans chapter 11.
The subject of the role of Israel continues to be important, the northern and southern kingdoms will be re-united at the appointed time. Each people has a purpose and the purpose of Israel will by no means be extinguished. Yes they need Christ and yes they will find Him.
God made an everlasting covenant with David. It will be realized.

Well, they use Israel alot, and fact is the word, Israel in the Bible is actually Gods chosen people called ISRAEL. Not a country, ground, etc.
Yeah, I would say they should believe, he was the king of the Jews.

Actually as offensive as this may be to some it is historically factual. Its a good question and deserves an honest anwer without bluster. But the woodwork will vomit out its critters and they will try to argue the facts and they will fail, then they will argue the logic and fail again. After that its personal attacks because they will not be denied.
But that is the satanic for you.
Serena you are like the guy on the roof in a flood who prayed for God to rescue him. A boat came by to get him and he waved it off saying that he was waiting for God to rescue him. What about Jerusalem and the temple being reduced to rubble and the people killed in 70 AD as Jesus promised it would be for the Israelites unbelief? What about the captivity of the Israelites in Babylon before that? Do you know what that was for? They were released just in time to get back to Jerusalem and rebuild and then receive Jesus. Now the story is different though. The Messiah has returned to us, was rejected by Israelites, Christians and Muslims as foretold. What will happen now is according to bible prophecy. Revelations tells of a meteor, earthquakes, nuclear war and pestilence and famine. Coming to a neighbor hood near you.
Anyone can be the chosen people now. The chosen people choose the Will of God and are grafted in and become of Israel or those who strive with God that they may become spiritual. Those who reject the Will of God are cut off and are, as the bible says, for the fire.
The word Christ means Messiah which means anointed descendant of David who sits upon the throne. There is one who occupies that hereditary throne in the world today.

you know you might think God is a liar, but I happen to think he keeps his word
Exodus 32:13
Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.' "
How exactly do you explain this? The verse is clearly talking about physical decendants and it says forever.
Either God is a liar or your wrong.

I believe that religion is extremely detrimental to society. You're insulting an entire group of people because they don't believe the same thing as yourself.
