Why do catholics think that trying to understand the nature of God and some mysteries within the bible is something ment to be left alone?

Proverbs 1: 22-25 We are warned here to learn God's ways and turn at his reproof (correction). By doing this, we will get the help of the Holy Spirit to understand the scriptures.

Isaiah 34: 16 We are encouraged to seek out the information in the bible, which was gathered by God's spirit.

Colossians 1: 25-26 The mysteries, which have been hid for generations, are now made available God's followers.

Luke 11: 9-13 God will pour out His Holy Spirit for understanding to anyone who is truly asking and seeking the teachings of Christ.

1 Corinthians 4: 1 The ministers of Christ were appointed as caretakers of the mysteries of God.

Ephesians 3: 1-9 Just as the mysteries were made known to God's chosen prophets and apostles, everyone now has access to the knowledge of these mysteries - the unsearchable riches of Christ.

First off, what is the use of believeing in something so mysterious if your never in the mystery of it? You should not pray by repition of words to God, but by the Holy Spirit that magnifies the truth in God. But the real ? is, how do you magnify the Holy Spirit within? Faith alone to certain individual who believes in God actually thinks thats enough, but faith with understanding to become steadfast within your faith in Christ is the key. Understanding means seeking truth, so be part of the mysteries of Christ by reading precept by precept in his words for through his words are treasurs that needs to be cherished.

Catholics do try understand the nature of God.

But we acknowledge that God is infinite, we are not, and therefore we will never completely understand the nature of God outside of heaven.

One example is the Holy Trinity.

It was Catholics who delved into the subtle hints in the Bible and, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, slowly grasped and developed the doctrines of the Holy Trinity.

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity states there is one true God who is made up of three separate but equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

How this works is still not fully known. It is one the Christian mysteries.

There is a story told about St Augustine:

Augustine was walking along the seashore trying to figure out the mystery of the Holy Trinity and came up to a little boy. The boy was trying to pour the ocean into a hole in the sand with a seashell. Augustine told the boy what he was doing was impossible. Then the little boy told Augustine that it is also impossible for the mind of man to try to understand the mystery of the Holy Trinity. The little boy turned into an angel and disappeared.

With love in Christ.

Where did you get your information on what Catholics believe? I'm guessing that you're guessing.

Catholics have no problem with trying to understand the nature of God and the mysteries.

You've been misinformed.

look at scripturecatholic.com, also take the test on fisheaters.com,this site also has alot of interesting information. as for unlocking the mysteries, we realise they are mysteries and by human perception we can't fully understand them hence they are mysteries still. but through revelations as discerned from the holy spirit we can draw closer to these mysteries and within the confounds of our human and earthly understanding we can enjoy them to the fullness of our own capacity both intellectually and spiritually. you are picking and choosing versus to magnify your truth,it is within the holy catholic church alone that you can receive the fullness of truth as we take holy scripture as a whole and not by disecting it. it is the holy catholic church that jesus himself gave authority to and the promise of the holy spirit to be with it always. as we are told seek and you will find, christs word and the truth is revealed to us but to fully understand his word and the truth you need all of scripture both old and new. as i have said before, the new testament is hidden in the old and the old testament is revealed in the new.

You are mistaken.

Catholics have NO problem with seeking out the mysteries.

Take a look at what the Catholic Church IS, not what you've been taught it is. Visit a parish and ask about the adult education classes and find out the truth.

Well, the first part of the problem is that the Catholic church doesn't teach that the mysterise of God aren't to be considered. That said, the whole rest of your question is pointless.
