Are X-men an attempt to convert our children to the evils of atheism? Much the same way as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Marxist propoganda to corrupt our youth?

(The good proletariat boy inherits the factory, and the bourgoise spoiled children all meet horrible fates because of their own greed)

I think we need to create a Creationist friendly super hero. We can call him......

Jesus!!! Wait a second......errrrrr..........

Could somebody tell me what luck is? And why do people tend to say "good luck", instead of "May God bless', or, "May all your desires come true"? Has humanity renamed God yet again? Can you imagine how Moses felt just before he asked "...what is his name?"

How can anyone answer this question with any confidence until they know what sentience is - what it is and why it is that we are self-aware ?

Surely once we have the answer to that question - we would be better versed to answer the original one - or as I tend to summise - that it wouldn't needed to be asked at all ?

One day we can’t find my young stepson, (who is always bringing up the fact that he was immaculately conceived). So, we looked everywhere and finally find him in the synagogue, lecturing to a group of rabbi (and in a very condescending tone I might add).

So I asked him why he hadn’t told us where he was going, and the punk says: “You should have known that I would be about my father’s business”.

So, what to do with a kid like that? Is his big mouth and attitude going to lead him to trouble with the authorities, I wonder?

It is mostly true, but there are still a lot of mysterious about evolution, there's no doubt about that.. So calling it scientific fact just leaves creationists room to criticize our weak areas.

The "perfect" Bible says the bat is a bird (Leviticus 11:13 & 19), hares chew the cud (Leviticus 11:5-6), and some fowl (Leviticus 11:20-21) and insects (Leviticus 11:22-23) have four legs.

The bat is a mammal, meaning they can produce milk for the young. I learned that in 2nd grade. Wow.

Why is it that every Protestant claims to have the Holy Spirit interpreting the Bible for them, yet all Protestant denominations disagree on doctrine?

For example:
Some say Water Baptism is necessary for salvation.
Some say it is only a symbol.
Some say that Baptism is by the Holy Spirit only.

If the Holy Spirit is telling every individual Protestant the truth, then why is everyone believing in DIFFERENT THINGS?

(As for Catholics and Orthodox, we trust the combined knowledge that has been gathered over the past 2,000 years by intelligent and learned men and women. We believe that the Holy Spirit guides the Church as a whole and we don't trust in each person's hair-brained theories about the Bible.)

Currently the blasphemy challenge at blasphemychallenge.com wants people to damn themselves to hell as ascribed by mark 3:29, but I see a bunch of Christians saying it is impossible to do so. I wonder: Why so desperate to keep us from making our own choice, while you are so quick to damn some of those that may not want to go to your hell (like homosexuals)?

obviously, sex before marraige is considered sin. I would imagine people would say "dry sex" (rubbing you genitals through clothing) is sin. Is necking (making out) a sin? if not, can a guy touch his girlfriends breasts while her shirt is on? where exactly is the line drawn?
