I am a Mulim and wondering since cloning is possible would it be a sin to clone Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) or to clone Jesus??? Is it a sin to clone???!!! There is some of Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) hair. No disrespect please!!! This is a question only to those who are addressed Muslims and Christians/ Catholics.

i asked about cloning and cannibalism. many people said its gross and wrong and socially unacceptable.

now i have to ask, why is it accepted in the church? this "communion" is nothing more then ritualized cannibalism where one pretends to eat the flesh of their savior and drink of his blood.

why does this differ? why is this not viewed as disgusting?

I'm just really confused. I don't know what to believe or whose side to choose! I mean, what are we supposed to believe when we know the Bible obviously have been motified and there could be and are thousands of unpublished sacred manuscripts lying in a tomb or buried deep inside the sands of Egypt?! With all the modification the Church has done before our generation into the Holy books..there are a few missing pieces that they forgot to fix. Like, Adam and Eve had sons.. okay. Now.. you take that information and ask.. then if they only had sons, how did humanity come into being? See? And you find these answers in the texts of which were banned from the Bible. I really would like to find my grace. Really. Salvation. Jesus. Call it whatever. But how are we supposed to accept truth when it's hidden from us? How do we find what WE believe, and not what Dan Brown wrote about Mary Magdaline? How do we know Jesus really died on the cross when ancient Egypt came before Christianity?

When a Jew speaks about 'descent from Isaac', I understand we're to take it literally - but 'Jewish' (or rather 'Hebrew') is very regularly described as an ethnic group anyway. Islam, of course, isn't (even though many Westerners treat 'Muslim' and 'Arab' as synonyms) - yet a lot of Muslims compare themselves to Jews by saying that they are 'descendents of Ishmael'. I was thinking today how odd that was. Can anybody shed some insight onto it?

I mean when you really sit down and think about it. Life is, in 100 or 200 years, no one is going to remember you. The things you did or didn't do. Even if you happen to write a book, that will eventually become meaningless, because one day, the sun is going to die out, and life on the planet will ceast. And when you think about it we haven't been on the planet that long.

So all in all, is life meaningless, are we just in a rat race of worthlessness?

He was able to prevent his death if he wanted to. To some Muslims Saddam is like Jesus dying for what he believed. Do Christians realize there worship of martyrdom is not that far from Islam?

Many claim to hear God today, but we know that they are usually suffering from a mental imbalance whther it be drug induced or a naturally occurring dysfunction. Could this be an explanation for many of the sightings and occurrences that are said to have occurred in the Bible.

That one people is inherantly better than another? Can a Jew really believe that he is inherantly better than a gentile? Can whites really believe that they are simply borne better than blacks? Dosen't religion teach us all that we are all just silly little insignificant PEOPLE.........and that God is the greatest? How silly we look hating and fighting each other and joining our real enemy, which is Satan instead of following God and treating each other as teammates in the big game of life?

and if Jesus was God, then how come God had to learn how to talk and walk and other human functions? wouldnt this negate his "omniscience" and "omnipotence" if he didnt have the power nor the knowledge of basic human functions from birth?

for those that claim hes not God but rather the son of, this question isnt really for you, but ur welcome to answer anyway =P

Death, sacrifice, martyrdom, repent....
Many religious literature seem to focus on these words.

Why not instead of killing yourself, or beating your wife, or sacrificing your first born child, you volunteer at a homeless shelter?! Or become a Big Brother or Big Sister? Start an after-school youth program? Maybe go to college, get a degree, and start working on a cure for AIDS? Or how about just simply busting your @ss in school and college, get a good, well-paying job and provide for your family while teaching your children to do the same?? Stop counting on religion, and count on yourself!

My neighbour's dryer broke down so she came to borrow my laundry room key. I lent it to her, then asked if she'd like to use my dryer. She snapped, "NO. That's ok, the key is fine." and walked away. When she came to return the key, I said, "Did I upset you?." She said she noticed that at Christmas we didn't put up decorations and my sons were away. She thought we might be Jehovah's Witnesses ("which would have been okay" she said) and when the boys came back she asked the them about it. One of them told her I'm an atheist, and they went to spend the holidays with their dad & stepmom and the new baby. She said, "It must be hard not spending Christmas with your mom". He said, "I'm an atheist too, I only went to meet my new sister", the other said "I'm Christian, I went for Christmas." She said she'd rather not socialize if that's the way we are. I just nodded and shut the door, I couldn't think what to say. I feel like I should have said something. What would you have said?
