Religions always oppose anything that might demonstrate flaws in any of their tenants. Cloning has the potential to refute long held views about the human soul, not to mention free will. For this reason, most religions will automatically declare cloning to be unethical, or even sinful, depending on how much they fear it.
Not Muslim, not Catholic. I'd like to believe there's a God, but so far there is no known evidence of one, let alone proof. Sources like the Bible and Koran are not evidence because they rely on circular reasoning:
1. I am right.
2. If I am wrong, refer to Rule #1
You can't say that the (your Bible/Koran/holy text here) is the word of God because it says so in the (your Bible/Koran/holy text here)!

First what is supposedly Muhammad's hair is probably an ancient relic and not an actual hair from Muhammad.
And if you are muslim, why did you disgrace the name of Muhammad? You did not give proper homage to his name.
Human cloning is one of those grey areas for people of faith. I believe the Catholic church has taken a stance agaisnt it. The rest of Christianity are undecisive about the issue.
I would imagine that Muslims would also be strictly against cloning.

I think that we are messing way too much with nature as it is! I would not want to have Mohamed or Jesus cloned under any circumstances! that would be disgusting- we would be able to clone them physically but the divinity is something you cant clone - so yeah - I think it would be a sin!

I don't really think it would be a sin, more like wrong! In christian/catholic belief God created only one you, there is only one person in this world, in history that acts, dresses, thinks, looks like you! I know we discussed this one time in bible class no matter if they were to clone them maybe they would look like them, but mentally they are not the same person! The would be rasied by different people, in a different enviroment, in a different world in the sense that everything has changed since the time the have exsisted, everything has changed since i was 5 and that was only 14 years ago! In my belief there is only one creator and that is GOD! This whole cloning thing is people trying to play God and that is a sin! Because in the bible it is very clear, there is only one almighty God!

I believe it is wrong simply because it's not natural. I don't think it would be even possible to clone Jesus because there is no DNA available. I don't know if it's stated in the Bible, but It doesn't sit right with me. Since you are Muslim, I ask you that question as well. Do you think your religion would allow that? Have you discussed it with other friends in your church?

Wow Great Question.
Just think about the problems it would cause. You would have large groups of people believing in every word that the Clones uttered. It would be a recipe for many wars to come...............

Cloning is just wrong - it creates freaks of nature and to clone Jesus or Mohammad would be as wrong as cloning anything or anyone else.

i'm sure this is not allowed in islam but if somehow someone did this, the person would not be the Prophet (pbuh) or Jesus himself but someone else with the same features. the soul would not be the same.......i'm a muslim

It would be wrong to clone Jesus. Jesus is perfect in every way and does not need cloning
God Bless You

I don't see why it would be a sin, once the technology is in place. Right now it would be a problem because clones usually have severe genetic deficiencies.
