Where did people go when they died before Jesus sacrificed himself to the cross? Since he died for our sins to ensure that we wouldn't go to Hell if we believed in him, doesn't that mean that up until that point, everyone who died went to Hell?

Today is January 29, 2007.

Why are there still people on Earth who believe in Creationism?

Do you believe, as I do, that this is a failure of Evolution Education. We should be ashamed of ourself that on January 29, 2007 there are still people who subscribe to Creationism.

What do you propose we do?

Just watched Dispatches on Channel 4, which covered the current chaos in Iraq. The programme suggested that the government is unofficially supporting what can only be described as 'ethnic cleansing' of Sunni muslims by the Shi'a Muslims (who are now in power).

I really don't know anything beyond what I just watched, but it seems that where once the Sunnis were persecuting the Shi'as, now that Saddam is no more, the Shi'as are essentially getting revenge.

My understanding is that Islam doesn't itself promote the killing of a fellow Muslim, so how can these two groups be brought back together so the killing stops?

I am writting an article about psychic lineages and how it seems at times that it is a family trait. I'm looking for anyone out there that has opnion on this. Does it run in your family or are you the only psychic in yours?
If it does run in your family why do you believe it is so... do you have an opnion? I would love to hear
Cheers

Okay, so Jesus dies so that we could go to Heaven? If he never died, like never came to earth then what? Everyone would go to hell? Was all of us going to hell after we die part of god's original plan? He knew we would sin, he is supposed to know everything right? And also, making eve wasn't part of the original plan either. The only reason she "existed" was because adam got tired of his hand. So if adam never got lonely, how was man supposed to procreate? Where was the intelligence in that design?

Jesus Christ only lived 33 years, never went more than 30 miles from his home, never wrote a book, never was on tv, never made a cd or any multimedia source and YET

-- Jesus Christ has influenced the world more than any person;

-- Jesus Christ's existence separates history (ac or bc);

-- Jesus Christ has more books written about him than any person in history;

-- Jesus Christ is the Ruler of the largest religion in the world;

-- Jesus Christ had 11 apostles and numerous martyrs die excruciating deaths believing in the Messiah, the Son of God;

-- Jesus Christ as the promised messiah fulfilled over 300 prophesies in the Old Testament. Just fulfilling 50 makes the odds of doing so 10X135 power, an astronomical number. No human being or religious leader's existence was fortold with such clarity, never fulfilled so many prophesies about them, not even Moses, Muhammad (pbuh), Buddha, Confuscious or anyone!

Since Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, doesn't that mean that they are polytheists and believe in 3 "Gods"? Otherwise, why would there be a separation of the three beings?

Every time I turn on CNN and there's a shot of 500 brown people wearing turbins, standing in the middle of some bombed-out street somewhere, shaking their AK-47s in the air, and chanting slogans in some goofy foreign language, the anchorperson always says, "And this is footage from the 'holy city' of Booga Booga (or wherever)."

When I picture a "holy city," I picture a city full of devoutly religious people who peacefully go about their business.

Apparently, their version of "holy" differs from mine, eh?

Were they created or did they evolve from something. Exactly where does your science books and history books tell you that mankind started? The bible leaves out some things because they are addressed by history and science (such as dinosaurs) but the bible also addresses some characters that are addressed in history books such as Rameses, Ceasar. What would be the purpose of mixing fictional characters with factual characters? Surely it wouldn't be to get those that may have a hard time believing in God to believe.

Darwin stated when asked if God could be the reason for evolution that evolution was natural selection and not super natural by any means. If you truly believe in the account in Genesis than you would know that evolution over millions of years could not be possible for one fact alone. God said that death was a consequence of sin. Sin did not enter the world until Adam. Since man was not created until the 6th day, and you suppose there are millions of years between each day, than you are saying death occured before Adam. Thus you are saying God is a liar. That death happend before Adam when He clearly states the the Sin of Adam and Eve was when death entered into the world. Also, the point of evolution is to discredit a creator. The purpose of the theory is to explain that there isn't a need for God. It's kind of like an oxymoron. Like saying "today I saw a flaming snowflake."

Why would you use a process that is used to explain away God to explain God?

It doens't make sense.

Do any of you know the group "Soldiers4Jesustalk" what their doctrine is? Are they survivalist? I was a member, but from what I saw they were not really soldiers for Christ when they were trying to tell me that I didn't have to rendered to Caesar's what is Caesars.

They spoke about a "red list" and a "blue list" that the government has. Any other Christian out here .. ever hear of this. If so, could you explain what it deals with and when and where it began? Thank you.

They hated all the Prophets. Because they didn't tell them what they wanted to hear.
They want to have their "ears tickled".
"Prophesy unto us smooth things."
They want Feel Good, not Truth!
There is nothing ahead but death!
But from death comes LIFE!
"Be faithful unto death."
"For to live results in death, and to die is gain!"

Inshallah!
