Darwin stated when asked if God could be the reason for evolution that evolution was natural selection and not super natural by any means. If you truly believe in the account in Genesis than you would know that evolution over millions of years could not be possible for one fact alone. God said that death was a consequence of sin. Sin did not enter the world until Adam. Since man was not created until the 6th day, and you suppose there are millions of years between each day, than you are saying death occured before Adam. Thus you are saying God is a liar. That death happend before Adam when He clearly states the the Sin of Adam and Eve was when death entered into the world. Also, the point of evolution is to discredit a creator. The purpose of the theory is to explain that there isn't a need for God. It's kind of like an oxymoron. Like saying "today I saw a flaming snowflake."

Why would you use a process that is used to explain away God to explain God?

It doens't make sense.

To say that death did not enter the world before Adam and Eve is perfectly proper. There are 2 types of death, death that we know, and SPIRITUAL death (separation from God). When you read that part of Genesis, keep that in mind. Up until then, there was no real separation from God.

Can Darwin prove that God is not behind evolution... When God is speaking of death he means SPIRITUAL death!!! Evolution is not describing anything to do with good or evil, it is simply a scientific process of how God brought everything into existence! Not what happened after?

Check out this book: The Creator & The Cosmos: How The Greatest Scientific Discoveries Of The Century Reveal God. By Hugh Ross.

Even God said that what he made & how, reveals Him in the book of Romans 1:20...Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature...

Darwin used his theory to try to explain God out of it. That doesn't mean that’s the truth. The fact that the Bible says God created everything in 7 days supports a process, a happening over time. (Time also being something that God exists outside of- how can you measure eternity?) Otherwise wouldn't God have created the universe in ONE day?

Adam & Eve came at the end of the creation process...To an earth that we all know exists, no matter how it got here! Believing that evolution & science are Gods means of making that happen (which we know God to have created everything, that would include science, because some science is fact!) doesn't conflict with the fact that Jesus Christ was sent to save me from myself. Myself being a sinner because we are all humans and have descended from those with original sin!!!

Does it really matter to God how you believe the universe came to be, so long as you know you are a sinner and need salvation through Jesus Christ!

good point. i recently found a few facts about evolution that i found interesting as a christian...one being that a premise of evolution is that one species can develop or evolve into another. we have never witnessed this on earth. we've seen how an animal can change over time to help it survive in its ever-changing environment. but we haven't witnessed a donkey morph into a horse.

another interesting fact for people who support evolution is that scientists have never been able to create/prove that you can create life from non-life. that is to say we have all the ingredients to sustain life on earth (water, the sun, chemical reactions, etc.) but scientists that support evolution cannot explain how all these ingredients began to form life. experiments have been conducted to recreate a lifeless earth like environment and attempting to use electricity (as a substitue for lightening) to spark life...nothing happened.

i am always thinking of how we came to be. god used the fabric of the universe to create us...human flesh is made of the same fabric and compounds that are found in the sun, asteroids, planets, etc. really quite amazing. not sure how it was done but i don't think evolution is the right answer.

but to answer the question, maybe a christian is contadicting himself by using evolution as a means of god's creation according to the bible. but the bible doesn't give specific information on how we were created, it just vaguely says we were. so you could have endless theories on what tools god used. however, the bible does give us a wealth of information on how to live our lives in a way that pleases god...and that is how it should be used, to give guidence and direction to a world of people who are instinctively selfish and consumed by their own desires.

Evolution and God are BOTH correct. Religion is the only thing holding up progress

It seems to me that there are some Christians who have rightfully concluded that Genesis is best read as an allegory.
