I have heard some people claim that cloning is proof of evolution. In my opinion, cloning would not prove evolution. How does copying already existing life help prove that we came from nothing?

I know that this question could go under the science category, but everyone here usually has less scientific answers, which is what I'm going for. I just want opinions to see what everyone else believes.

I just downloaded the holy qur'an onto my desktop to learn.

Where in the holy qur'an does it teach a person how to develop inner stable peace of mind ?
And where does it teach a person how to cultivate patience and compassion toward
oneself and toward others ?

I am seeking to improve myself, and am searching for ways to do this thru scriptures, and have, as mentioned above - have just downloaded the holy qur'an onto my desktop.

Where specifically, in what areas of the quran
do I go to, in order to have these questions answered so I can better myself, so I can become a more helpful person in life ?
Often I deal only with being helpful toward myself, and toward my wife and kids alone, and no one else.

Are there any Muslims out there that can possibly help me, teaching me where to go to in the holy quran to find these answers.

Thank You so much. May Allah bless you.

...from their current beliefs, no matter what evidence is provided? Because I gotta tell you I have written enough proof of evolution on here to write a book. I guess what I am getting at is ...well is it all in vain? What's the point in answering these questions if the answers are not even considered? Should we all just give up on these lost causes?

that outnumber the bad things?

You know, war, sectarian violence, seggregation, woman's vilification , persecution of scientists, terrorism, demonization of sex, child rape, mental castration, book burnings, spread of unproven facts and myths, rude accumulation of wealth and land (at the cost of the poor), widespread HATE, bloody and gory saints, faceless prophets, the destruction of human art and civilization (Bamian, Aztecs), extirpation of free will, the Dark Ages, racism, bigotry, ethnic cleansings, royalty, fear, abject ignorance, teen pregnancies, homeless kids, mortification of the flesh, etc...

You guys are associating Jesus(PBUH) with God.

1. God Is All Knowing.....But Jesus Was Not

When speaking of the Day of Judgement, Jesus clearly gave evidence of a limitation on his knowledge when he said, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in Heaven, neither the son, but the Father." (Mark 13:32 and Matt. 24:36) But God knows all. His knowledge is without any limitations. That Jesus, of his own admission, did not know when the Day of Judgement would be, is clear proof that Jesus is not all-knowing, and that Jesus is therefore not God.

The Spaced Guy said: "Evil is caused when we choose to do things contrary to God's will."

So can children, who still believe in Santa Clause like they do God, really comprehend God's Will? If they can't, it wouldn't seem their mistakes would be considered evil.

So how could original sin exist? It would seem people weren't capable of doing evil (in the Christian sense) unless they were of at least adolescent age, so they could really understand the bible.

First I'll give you some background. I live in a building that has 100 apartments. Right across from the building is the church I grew up in. I stayed in the church until I was almost 22. My reason for leaving was there were certain people who went out their way to start untrue rumors about me. Their talking about me didn't cause me to leave but I realized that I had out grown this church and needed a place were the people were actually concerned with spiritual growth. I have found this church. The minister is wonderful and the people are nice too. I haven't been that long but I feel at home there. the problem is I still live in this building where a lot of the tenets are members of my former church. They are holding grudges against me for whatever reason. I'm trying to grow spiritually and I try always to do what it is God would want me to. I have kept my mouth shut and have not been ugly to them in return. Continued....

Why do non-believers such as pagans and atheist find it so hard to believe their is a real GOD that do exist? Is it because they have been taught there isn't really a GOD or is it that they are being flat out evil?

does god punish animals like he does man? make our punishment passed down through generations?

Genesis 3:14
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this,
"Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

obviously the snake had legs before it tempted eve to eat the apple. how come from then on, all snakes crawl on their belly? how come god made this punishment pass down through generations? is that fair to the snake?

and does that mean having a pet snake is like having a pet satan?

Most of us know the theory of evolution, however not many of us know the evidences behind the evolution theory. There was one evidence by someone but it was faked. So I'm asking you, with explaining with logic etc, where is the evidence on this theory? If I dont get any answers I'll just assume that this theory is just a theory and is not reality

Should a person vote for a candidate based on their religious beliefs? I was reading an article and the person wrote "I told him how much I appreciated what he was doing and that I thought he was a Christian president." What does religion have to do with politics?
