On the contrary. I was taught there was a god. I studied the bible and many different religions before finally chalking it all up as a bunch of malarkey. Why is it "evil" to be an atheist or a pagan? I have found most atheists, pagans, agnostics to be perfectly pleasant people with high moral fiber. Does it make us "evil" because we don't go along with what you believe?

I grew up with no defined religion in my house. I went to church once in awhile, and attended a Catholic high school. I decided, on my own, that there was no higher powers and that everything that happens is because another person has done something to make it happen. No fate, no luck, no person minipulating humans on a giant playing board.
I am not being "evil" and not trying to offend anyone. I just believe that there isn't a god and can respect that you believe that there is one. There really isn't a need to bash people because of your beliefs. Do you criticise buddhists or jewish people for not believing in Jesus? Does Christianity not ask their followers to treat others with respect? And how will insulting athiests help them to be converted to Christians?
I just think that you are technically sinning by asking a question in this way....

It is simple really. There is no evidence for a supreme being.
You, on the other hand, base everything on the mythology and folktales of some semi-nomadic illiterate goat herders who lived over 2000 years ago.
There is nothing written about Jesus by anyone who actually ever saw him. The is no mention of anyone named Jesus in any Roman records – including no mention of anyone by that name being crucified. There are no records even of Nazarus until after Jesus died. There is not one recorded word of anything he may have said. There are no physical remains or artifacts. He is not mentioned even by the Scribes and historians who were living in Judea at the same time. There is no mention of Jesus in any documentation of any other country in the region – no mention of large crowds – no mention of miracles.
There is not even a description of what he might have looked like, because no one who might actually have seen Jesus (if he even existed) ever wrote a single word about him.

Leave the athiest's and pagan's alone. They can believe what they want believe. It's not really evil to believe a deity doesn't exist.

It was what followed more than fifteen years trying to live as a Christian, and prolonged and extensive study of the bible, and the history of it and the Christian church.
It was not an easy decision to make, but it became impossible to avoid the conclusion that Christianity is not, at core, what it proclaims itself to be. I had already considered other world views before becoming a Christian -as an adult..
e-mail me if you you want to go into more depth.
(Thank you for the rather unkind suggestion that I am either ignorant or evil, to find myself with my current beliefs.
What prompts you to be so sure of yours?)

No it's because logically I need to disbelieve in something not supported by evidence e.g. God. Believers need to learn the basics of philosophy-disbelief is the logical default and atheists have nothing to justify or prove.

Not again.
Knock off the non-believer crap.
Pagans beleive in their own gods. Atheists find logic and fact more important than a fantasy sky pixie.
Most Atheists used to be Christians. They LEARNED there is no god. Nothing else.
You might try doing your own scientific research into the world. Its alot bigger than you seem to think.

I'm sure each of them has their own reasons. I have found that many people believe that people who believe in God are ignorant and have lower intelligence than themselves. Unless they can see absolute unrefutable proof of God then they believe it is just foolishness.
Jesus said in John 20:29 "blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

LMAO. Many Pagans DO believe in Gods, we just don't worship yours!
Atheists don't believe in your God (or any other) because they see no evidence.

I don't think it's usually evil by any means. It's just usually not having an understanding of the truth, and being led astray by today's culture.
I just feel really sorry for 'em.
