Let's say someone is immortal and spends all their time meditating. They imagine a deer and through years of meditation map out every cell, every bone, every chemical reaction that would go on inside that deer. They can remove any influence they would have on this imagination of theirs and sort of suspend it, and let everything inside it serve its purpose.

I'm just thinking about what if someone could have a fully functioning life form inside their mind unlike the superficial images of animals we have inside ours.

Would this be a life?

Theistic Evolution is the believe that God made life, but that God used the process of Evolution to bring about the human being.

That is, a person who believes in Theistic Evolution believes the human race has a common ancestor with a chimpanzee, that this common ancestor to the naked eye would like like a monkey.

My question to people who believe in Theistic Evolution is, is who do you feel you relate with better,

Do you relate with the Creationists, who believe God made the human out of dust and clay because it says so in Genesis 1 and 2 and there was no Evolution,

or,

with people who might not necessarily believe in God (most of us recognize that there is a possibility of a God) and who believe in Evolution of man from the common ancestors.

Essentially, if you believe in Theistic Evolution, who do you get along with better - Creationists or Atheistic Evolutionists?

May be he was just tying to have revenge on authorities in his time, and lied to people about angels.
The prophets or people who realised god like Jesus, Buddha, sages of hinduism, were not much attached to sex, while mohammed married a kid when he was 53.
Most godly people around the world talked about peace, while mohammed always said, he is the messenger of god (what is the need to say, if he is right ) and talked about defending faith for which he declared himself prophet.
There seems to be huge difference between mohammed and all other great saints.

Imagine you created life with intelligence and free will. What would you do? Would you set rules of conduct or would you let your creation do as it pleases?

Are your beliefs so strong that you wish harm against individuals that do not share them? This question applies to everyone. It is not an acquisition, just a question.

Creationism states that God made the human race by his own hand.

Evolution, even if it is theistic Evolution, states that the human race evolved from other species.

In reality, is it one or the other? This question isn't so much about "God" as it is about Creationism vs Evolution/Theistic Evolution.

Specifically, did some humans evolve from the common ancestors, as the Theory of Evolution suggests, and did God then make a select group of humans by his own hand?

Or is it an all or nothing proposition, that is, either all the human race evolved from a common ancestor, or we are all descendents of Adam and Eve, as Creationism suggests.

In response to earlier question - "Who decides when a humanbeing must die" - ALL Christians said it is God. Now if I die before I convert, can I tell God that he was unfair as I was still on my way to salvation, therefore he must give me the benefit of doubt?

There was an article in TIME magazine last year about libertarians moving to Vermont seeking strength in numbers. Their goal was to create a strong community, get out their message, and acquire a political voice.

Atheists, would you do something similar? Perhaps you could elect an atheist congressman, create a community humanist organization, or just be able to raise your children in a religion-free environment.

Would you leave your current residence and move to such a place?

Omar Khayyam:
1/
And if the Wine you drink, the Lip you press,
End in the Nothing all Things end in — Yes —
Then fancy while Thou art, Thou art but what
Thou shalt be — Nothing — Thou shalt not be less.
2/
Why, all the Saints and Sages who discuss’d
Of the Two Worlds so learnedly — are thrust
Like foolish Prophets forth; their Words to Scorn
Are scatter’d, and their Mouths are stopt with Dust.
3/
Alike for those who for TO-DAY prepare,
And that after a TO-MORROW stare,
A Muezzin from the Tower of Darkness cries
"Fools! your reward is neither Here nor There!"
4/
And that inverted Bowl we call The Sky,
Whereunder crawling coop't we live and die,
Lift not thy hands to It for help - for It
Rolls impotently on as Thou or I.
5/
Myself when young did eagerly frequent
Doctor and Saint, and heard great Argument
About it and about: but evermore
Came out of the same Door as in I went.
