i'm not an atheist, but i can tell u this; exorcisms are fake.
there are all kinds of similar things in many cultures around the world, most of them in no way related to christianity. the "possessed" in most of them are the mentally ill, injured, having seizures, reacting to chemicals in plants they were in contact with, or sometimes just acting along. quite a few of the "possesed" in medieval england were due to a fungus in the rye they ate.

Well, in order to explain that you have to believe in that. I do not. I do not believe in Hell, I do not believe in Satan, I do not believe in demons. If I don not think they exist, how can I believe they can possess a human being.

Now, I think some people may THINK they are possessed and that is psychological and needs the help of a good psychiatrist not a priest.

What a load of rubbish. You're asking how do you explain an unproven fantasy-you don't even try is the answer. Wise up.

People aren't demon possessed, they "believe" they are demon possessed.

So its like a parlor trick, a psychological thing, making the person "believe" they are having the demons removed by a priest.
