And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.

This was a mid Eastern proverb about 3 to 4 thousand years ago.....But we know it because of its use in the Christian Bible by the Lord Jesus....you can find it in Luke 4:23.

Jesus said it in the Bible. Get a Red Letter edition that indicates
the Morning Stars own words, it will be easier to find.
I used to think it was a challenge for someone to heal himself.
Now I think it might mean, how can we claim to be healers of others, when we are spiritually sick ourselves!
