Charles Darwin was not an atheist. He was raised a Christian. He had doubts about God and became an Agnostic. He insisted that he was never an Atheist.

But there are lots of scientists who are atheists. Bertrand Russell (who is known as a Philosopher, but was a Nobel Prize winner and probably the greatest mathematician of the 20th century) was a well known Atheist.

Prior to the 19th century, there were probably lots of prominent atheist scientists -- but they tended to keep it to themselves so that they didn't get their heads chopped off. In the 20th and 21st centuries there are lots of prominent scientists who are atheists -- but they don't talk about it because no one cares.

Charles Darwin was not an atheist, he was a deist. He believed in a Creator and that life evolved. All species evolve and adapt to their surroundings. God created all laws of science and the universe.

You are so not an atheist.

That said, science, and research, aren't exactly the glamor professions, are they? People get recognition in their own circles, and a few get worldwide recognition.

Do me a favor. Look up the Steve List. It's a list of scientists named Steve who think that evolution is valid.

I'm not sure, but I saw a beast rise out of the sea, 2,000 years BEFORE Darwin did. I also saw one come out of the caves and bring fire out of the sky, and it definitely was NOT CAVE BEARS! I also knew this beast was made of carbon 12, 6 protons, 6 neutrons, 6 electrons, 2,000 years BEFORE any human knew anything about molecular biology. I also knew the chosen one would have a shirt dipped in blood, a sharp, two-edged sword coming out of his mouth, red hair, and tiny moles on his inner thighs.

He's buried in an abbey so I don't think his contemporaries regarded him as an atheist. Obviously your question is tripe. The scientists that provide the technology Christians use in the future will be almost 100% atheist-deal with it.
