Let's say someone is immortal and spends all their time meditating. They imagine a deer and through years of meditation map out every cell, every bone, every chemical reaction that would go on inside that deer. They can remove any influence they would have on this imagination of theirs and sort of suspend it, and let everything inside it serve its purpose.

I'm just thinking about what if someone could have a fully functioning life form inside their mind unlike the superficial images of animals we have inside ours.

Would this be a life?

Very fascinating. It would be a simulated life. It would exist within the confines of your mind and be subjected to the laws of nature you created for it. If you had the capacity to store that much information and process it you would not be a human. You would have basically created a pocket dimension.

Thank you for the question, I wish I had a more suitable answer. It will keep my mind busy for a while regardless.

i did see this question earlier and didnt reply because i am sure you would think me nuts lol
but there is something called mindstore technique by Jack Black where this is exactly what is done
where we create in our mind and that creation becomes reality
although not in the way you mentioned
but i firmly believe that we can create
there were expriments done on this also by members of psychical research
where they would tell a ghost story to some people about a house .. those people would stay in the house and be very scared because of the story
then they would bring a new bunch of students into the home who had no idea about the story made up about murders etc
and believe it or not these students reported seeing people that matched the description of the ghosts that the previous students had been told about
i hope i made sense because i even got confused telling you lol
but anyway if you wish to read about mindstore

No

You said "They imagine a deer", so the life would be imaginary. We may not choose to influence the deer's actions but it is still a product of our imagination and thus un-real.
If you could create life and release it to do as it pleases then it would be a life. If that life knew who created it and wanted to please that creator, it could show a respect for the creator.

I think it would be a life. I think of it like another dimension. I believe that strongly imagined events and objects can take on a life of their own. I'm thinking of shared "fictional" universes/characters like those from pop culture (Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.) I know that's not exactly what you're talking about but that's what your question brought to mind.

What you describe sounds like the processes used in magick (real, not stage). Very interesting.

No it would not be a life, it would be no different than an `imaginary friend`, as regularly invented by children and believers. Life has its own birth, each separate birth creates being, anything else is `made up`, or purely mind generated, however profoundly we may imagine it.

I wasn't going to vote for him besides. Now, I very almost sense examined in a manner. a definite share of people will stay blindly dedicated to him, inspite of the present Rev. Wright flap. regrettably, some people enable themselves wrap lots of their self-id in some thing -- be it a political candidate, or a activities team, or despite -- that they do exactly no longer prefer to pay attention any grievance of it, no depend how valid it might desire to be. this kind of great form of people have allowed themselves to grow to be so sucked in by utilising Obama and his rhetoric, that they are going to probable nonetheless vote for him whether we've been to confirm that he became in contact in a homicide years in the past. that's how strongly those people will refuse to settle for that they supported the incorrect guy. some people right here on YA are admitting that they have made a mistake in helping him, and at the instant are working from them. you have have been given to nicely known their honesty and their willingness to settle for the reality. .

No, it would be a simulation of life.

Sounds interesting, but what are you getting at? I think you'd like 'the fabric of reality' by David Deutsch, he talks about consciousness as a sort of virtual reality simulator.

That is a very deep and provocative question. I think you are touching upon what it is like to 'think' like God. I imagine God assembling all of creation in this manner and then releasing it all in a 'big bang'. My answer is yes.

I dont completely understand you qestion but,
I can say, that hindus realised god, through penance similar to this. Hinduism talks about realising god as you said.
It can be your life, if you are ready to do it whole your life, or it can be part of your life.
