My relationship with God is more spiritual/mystical, and have trouble with "traditional" interpretations. Since I am more of a seeker, I don't really fit into most church-communities. Is there any place that "non-traditional" people can find a community/connect with others spiritually.

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" John 9: 1,2

This is a very peculiar passage in the NT. We are told that the blind man had been this way from birth, yet his disciples ask if his blindness was the result of his own sin. How could this man have sinned prior to his birth? It is also interesting that Jesus does not seem to find the question at all odd.

recently i was talking to someone about their marriege and they are mormon, they said they have to get married in the temple (which i know is their church building), just as catholics get married on the church alter

but the way they were talking about it made it seem as if it were a very private small cerimony followed by a normal reception

can anyone give me some more details

Yesterday a person asked "What is a fake Christian?", he (a christian) said something about his fellow Christians judging Christians, and I said "I thought it was gods job to judge", and it was removed because it was "Not a Question or Answer". I asked a question yesterday about how strange it was that if a Christian prays for something and it comes true, it was the work of god, but if a non-Christian prays or was to cast a spell and it came true, its either a coincidence or the work of the devil. That question was removed because it was "Chatting & Personal Communications".

Ive asked and answered several questions, directed at pretty much every belief and religion, yet the only questions and answers that I get violation notices for are the ones that criticize or question Christianity. It doesn't matter how legit or valid it was, it still gets deleted.

My question

Why are religious people such wussies? Why can't people learn to accept their due criticism?

I'm a christian but am curious when it comes to how are things in heaven. I just wonder about the fallen angels being cast out of heaven. Isn't heaven suppose to be a perfect place? I think that it's so hard to get along with some people here on earth and how are we going to get along with these same people in heaven? Will there be different levels to heaven according to how we behave on earth? Do other people have such thoughts and wonder?

If you do a word study of other Koine Greek documents (extra-Biblical) you will discover this.

What does this mean to you?

I don't believe in any religion but if David's interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the fall of civilisation is true (as represented by the metal statue of man) - then is it possible that it is the United States? The verse stays that it will be clay and iron (like black and white) but the population will not mix - as black and whites - and some will be strong and others week - as wealth in the USA is controlled overwhelming by the white population - It also says that it will be shortlived, and will be followed by the fall of civilisation (which to me doesn't sound off with the currently pending global economic and environmental crisis) .... scarily enough this is the civilisation with the supposed antichrist. Also, just wondering if the Antichrist could be a metaphor for capitalism and environmental disregard. Fiiiinally - what if the 666 is simply the visa you must have to live here - given on head (by birth) or on hand (you obtain your papers through a legal process)...

Please don't tell me that it simply means being saved, as this concept of being saved is recent and wasn't exactly what Paul meant. I'm looking for a scholarly response, perhaps a better translation of the greek word. Thanks!

Could it be that Mithra, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, etc. were all Christs? If you strip away all the dung that was heaped on by the indoctrinators, their core teachings are all very similar.

I saw him on tv the other day and he said most of the bible was false, which I also believe, and he also said that he was Jesus Christ, which I do not believe, but maybe it's possible I'm mistaken about both.
